Carl's POV
We all spun around in unison, Brandon holding up the bomb. My dads expression didn't looked shocked at all. It stood there blank. As he came closer to us, I snatched the bomb thing from Brandon's hand and threw it on the ground.
"What the fuck is this dad?" I rose my voice. I'm tired of secrets all the time. My dad hurried to where I threw it. He picked it up carefully looking at the time that went down every minute. I caught a glance at it. The time was read 27 hours 13 minutes. So, 27 hours and 13 minutes until we die. Great. If my dad doesn't get rid of this our whole town will blow up. We have a little over one day until it will blow.
"Meet me in the cafeteria at 4:30 sharp. Spread the word," my dad spoke in a low whisper before he walked away with the bomb. He grasped it tight as he left the fields. I looked at Brandon, then at Enid. She gave me a unsure look with a shrug of her shoulders. My anger started to all build up in me. First, my dad wouldn't tell me where he was going, and now he didn't tell me we had a bomb in our field that I work it EVERYDAY, which he obviously knew it was there. I was so angry, I stormed away from Enid and Brandon. I rushed out of he fields. I blocked out most sounds but I could hear Enid's voice calling my name faintly. Brandon yelled too but I couldn't make out what he was saying.
"Meeting at 4:30 in the cafeteria!" I yelled to everyone as I pushed through anyone in my way. I made my way to the front gates. I looked around at everyone doing their jobs, not paying attention to me. I pressed my hands up against the wooden gate doors and I glared back. No one was on watch, which is rare. So I grabbed the handle of the gates and swung them open. I ran out the gates and closed it behind me. I successfully made it out. I made sure my gun was loaded and on silent before I ventured out of our town. I walked down the blood stained streets that was aligned with trees and abandoned cars. I made my way into the woods for more shade and coverage. I heard a faint walker groan so I went the opposite of where it was coming from. I kicked my shoes in the dirt as I walked. I took out my knife and made a small slit on my wrist and let it drop onto the floor. It made a blood trail in case I got lost. I rubbed my right pointer finger across my left wrist where the cut was. It stung and burned but felt relieving at the same time. I was concentrated on my extreme bleeding that my eyes began to fog up and my vision blurred. I heard a faint sound of someone approaching. I assumed it was my imagination. But I knew it wasn't when a cold hand went over my mouth sending chills down my spine. I was forced down to the ground and I felt a knock on my head. That's when everything went black.

Enid's POVIt was 4:30 already and there was no sign of Carl. Brandon, Bailey, Destiny, and I have looked everywhere. We asked the other people if they saw him. Everyone said that he was pushing through spreading the word about the meeting and then disappeared without anyone seeing where. I clenched my fists knowing I could've and should've stopped him. But I didn't because I was selfish. I wasn't thinking about what could happen with him. He could be long gone by now.
Everyone was gathering into the cafeteria now.
"We should go too," Bailey said softly.
"Let's tell Rick after the meeting is over," Destiny suggested.
"Good idea. We don't want him getting mad before the meeting," Brandon also said. I nodded at everyone and put on a fake smile. In reality, I was terrified for Carl. Sure, he's been through a lot. But he was pissed so who knows what he could be doing out there. I just hope he's okay.
Everyone took their seats in the cafeteria. We all faced Rick as he spoke in the front, standing on a wooden box.
"Everyone, I have something to tell you guys. I realize that it's all of our rights to know as we are a town, a community, and a family," Rick spoke before holding up the bomb that we found. Everyone gasped and began to talk very loud all at once.
"Everyone listen up! This here says 25 hours and 4 minutes. That's how long we have until this guy with the threat blows up our town. We can't get rid of it. It has a tracking device on it. They track it everyday. They have crazy technology skills so that means great weapons and other things that we don't have. If I don't find out a deal before this bomb blows, we're all doomed. We don't have much longer. After this, I have to go out and meet with the guy. I'm going to ask him to give us more time. Daryl and Abraham will be going with me. If he won't give us extra time, we will try to make a deal up on the spot. His name is Negan. And we are no match for him and his team," Rick explains. Everyone began to be loud and yell at Rick a bunch of things no one would understand. It was so loud I covered my ears and wanted to cry. We. Are. Going. To. Die.
I grabbed Brandon and we walked up to Rick. It was time to tell him before he leaves.
"Carl is missing," I let out a deep breath.
"What do you mean he's missing!" Rick rose his voice, catching everyone's attention.
"I'm sorry. He stormed off. We can't find him so he must be out there somewhere. He was mad at you keeping secrets so who knows what he is doing on there. All these secrets and threats are ruining our town."
Secrets and threats are ruining our town.
