NOEL'S POV
"Am really tired of the professor bugging me mum,he always assigns me students and i usually don't have enough time" i continue complaining on the phone about the professor taking most of my time.
"Be patient with him Noel,but if you feel its too much,then,tell him off" mum says
"Okay, Jared gave me chocolates today,mom" i tell her
"Did you allow to date him?" She asks
"No" i reply
"Noel,how long will you do this?"
"Its not like i do it on purpose,i am just so scared of having feelings,i fear that he may hurt me and i don't think i can recover from it,thats why i stay away from relationships" i tell her
"Noel,life is about taking risks,everything we do is a risk,crossing the road,everything,what's one more?" She asks
" I know,loving someone means trusting them with your heart,trusting them to take care of it,and its not easy to do that" i tell her
"That may be true,but you have known Jared for a year now,you must know that he wouldn't hurt you on purpose" she explains
"You're right mum" i say
"Take the risk Noel,fall in love,get to know how it feels,you can't miss out on it. We can't keep living our lives in fear. Its okay to make mistakes,you learn from them. What if Jared is the one and you stupidly let him go?"
" How do you know everything mum?" I ask her
She laughs and says,
"I don't, i've lived it. You should too. Jared won't wait forever,don't you want a boyfriend?
" I do,i want a boyfriend" i reply excited
"So go for it,Jared is a hottie,you know your dad and i accepted you because we don't care about anything but your happiness,we love what you love and we want what you want. Go get your man,baby" mum says
"Be careful with your mum son,she can convince you to commit murder" Dad says
"Hahaha,no dad,this time its good" i laugh
"You're absolutely right mum,i am going to take the risk and finally ask Jared out,i really like him."
I hung up and enter bed all giddy,i can't wait for tomorrow,i can just imagine what will happen when i tell Red,he will be shocked,then happy,i'll explain why i never allowed him to take me out,he will hug me and kiss me,then he will be my boyfriend.
I feel so happy that i turn my face into my pillow and scream. Why didn't i do this sooner,i could be in bed snuggled with Red right now,with his sexy arms around me.
Oh well tomorrow we'll start dating,"Noel and Red"
I send a quick text to my bestfriend Cooper,
"Its going down tomorrow, i am going to ask red out,i've finally decided to face my fears and take a risk"
"Good for you man,its time you realised Red is good for you"
"Yes,wish me luck" i reply
"Goodluck,bro night" he says
"Night" i say
I fall asleep but all i see is me and Red kissing and touching each other. Guess the excitement is too much.
One week later
Am here lying on my bed as depressed as fuck. Why you may ask,
Well that night after fantasizing about me and Red,i was excited about telling him my big news.
The next morning,dying of nervousness,i head to Red's room hoping to catch him before he heads to class. But he wasn't there. I swear i searched every inch of the campus for him but i couldn't find him. I even checked the infamous room 203 aka therapist office, house party room but he wasn't there! Where could he be? The day i need him,he is nowhere to be found,everyday he was with me but today of all days,i can't find Red.
For a whole week,this went on like an endless cycle. I couldn't think straight,anxiety was killing me. I needed to tell Red how i feel,what i want and its him. Am so positive of it now. I swear i miss him,i got so used to having him around and the gifts,flowers,hugs.....
Please come back Red,i need you,please.
What you people don't know by the way is that Jared Blackstone is the son of senator Richard Blackstone. They are hot shots and political big fish. The Blackstone family is famous and well feared. But Jared is a down to earth guy.
