Karlie's POV:

It's been a couple of days since I've seen her, I can't get those mesmerising eyes out of my head, the way her hair fell across her face perfectly or the way her teeth glistened when she smiled. I was so fascinated by someone I had only seen once and not even spoken to. It's typical of me really, always so curious about the world, what did she do, who was that girl with her, who was she, what was her name, why did they come to my cafe? I so badly wanted to get to know her but it's impossible considering that she has not come in to the shop since. All I could do now was just move on, realise that I can never find out who she even was. I didn't care too much but the fact I couldn't get her out of my head made me even more curious.

It had been a slow day today, no one else is here but me so I thought I might close up early. I wiped down a few of the tables before walking to the door.
Just as I was about to, it swings open and these crystal blue eyes stared at me. I couldn't find the words to speak, we stood in silence staring at each other, not saying a word.

She finally broke the silence, "oh, are you closed? I thought you closed at 7?"

"I uh, I, I was just about to yeah"

"Oh okay, I'll-"

"But technically, you came in before I turned the sign so"

She sniggered and said "is that your way of saying you'll close after me?"

"Indeed it is" I couldn't contain my smile as I moved out of the way to let her in. "Sit anywhere you like" I said as she walked in. She took a seat in the centre of the room. I walked to the counter to finish wiping it down, giving her a few minutes to decide what she wants to order.

"So, what can I get you?" I said, smiling as I walked over to her.

"Are you sure it's okay me being here? I mean you're clearly closed and I don't want to be a bother"

"It's no bother at all, honestly. But I'm just wondering, why did you decide to come, especially at an odd hour"

She hesitated before her red lips parted letting out a breathe of air then closed back together. Only to reopen again when she said "I, I needed a quiet place to think and figured it would be quiet here at this time"

"Well, you got that right. Now, what does a girl like you have so much to think about?"

"I write. I write songs"

"Seriously? That's pretty cool. Do you sing?"

"Yeah, I got signed to big machine records a few years ago"

"Wow, so it's like legit then?"

"You thought I was lying?" She said whilst trying to keep a straight face.

"Well no, I mean, kind of yeah" I said trying not to show her how red my cheeks have become. "So can I hear some of your stuff?"

"Hmm, maybe another time"

I smirked and said "So I'll be seeing you again?"

She blushed and looked towards her intertwined fingers in her lap "um, yeh, I mean, like I said, quiet place to write. Um anyway, what do you do"

I looked at her with a questionable look upon my face

"Oh uh yeh course cafe. Makes sense" she said pointing her fingers to gesture the cafe.

I couldn't help but smile at how awkward she felt.

"Well, actually, this place is kinda just a side job to fulfil my passion for baking" I chuckled as the words left my mouth. "I actually model a bit. I mean, more than a bit. I actually became a Victoria Secret angel last year but I was only in the show for a minute or something... newbie and all" I said whilst pointing to myself.
