Chapter 17

The next few months were spent with them getting to know each other. They had shared many stories and had spent many nights together. Melanie was having the best sex of her life. Even though they were still not officially a couple, she knew that if she and Brian were no longer together she would never meet another man who could make her feel like he did. He was a professional in the bedroom. He knew all the buttons to push and he never left her unsatisfied. Ever.

The guys were about to embark on a 2 week bus tour. Melanie didn't know how she was going to manage without him for that long. In the last few weeks they had been spending more and more time together.

Brian had invited her to come over the night before he was to leave town. They had planned on spending a quiet night in, just the two of them.

She arrived at his house at 6:00. He took a minute to answer the door and when he finally did he was in his boxer shorts with a towel draped around his neck.

"Well hello," she said, eyeing him up and down as he stepped aside to let her in.

He shut the door behind her and before she could even take her jacket off he grabbed her arm and pulled her in for a kiss.

"I've been waiting to do that all day."

"Me too," she smiled at him.

"Get comfortable. I'll be right back."

She took her jacket off and draped it over the arm of the couch. She sat down next to Chessie who was sprawled out. As she reached over to pet him Brooklyn jumped up on the other side of her, immediately trying to get her attention. The cats had quickly come to love her and they always vied for her attention as soon as she got there.

Brian returned a few minutes later wearing a t-shirt and lounge pants. He smiled at the scene on the couch. He loved watching her with his babies.

"So what do you want to do for dinner?" he asked her. "Pizza? Chinese? Something else?"

"I'm down for anything. You pick."

He went out to the kitchen and pulled out some take out menus. He called and ordered them Chinese then joined her on the couch.

"The food will be here in about 40 minutes. What do you want to watch tonight?"

"Hmmmm...Back to the Future?"

She knew it was one of his favorite movies and they hadn't yet watched it together. They had attempted it twice before but sex got in the way.

"I think if we watch it first we should be fine," he said, turning on the tv.

"And if we sit on opposite ends of the couch," she added with a smirk. He was the reason they had failed to watch the movie before.

"I didn't hear you complaining."

They sat next to each other with Brooklyn laying across Brian's lap. She was definitely his baby.

The food soon arrived and they ate as they finished the movie. When it was over Brian got up to take care of the empty food containers.

"I'll take care of it," Melanie said. "You pick another movie."

When she came back out to the living room he was still flipping through the tv, looking for something.
