GASP! What's this? A note BEFORE the chapter? Blasphemy! (Excuse that <---, I've always wanted to use that word since BVB brought it to my attention). Anyway, how was your day? Ugh, school! Mine was okay, thanks for asking, but I'm stuck with a full class of Freshman and I'm the only Sophomore and I had the teacher before, so she called on me a lot, and the whole class would turn in one to stare at me. o.o I felt like I was in some SciFi movie.
Anyway, enough of my babbling. ON WITH THE CHAPTER!
"Turn left - Then right - Yeah, there."
Ashley pulled into my driveway around 10 at night. We sat still before Ashley snatched my phone out of my hands.
"Hey!" I objected but he held up a finger.
"I'm putting my number in so you'll call me later. Right?" He asked, peeking at me nonchalantly from the corner of his eye.
When he handed me the phone back, I felt like something had changed. A feeling formed in my gut and I couldn't decipher it. When Ashley's eyes met mine, the feeling disappeared and all the uncertainty was wiped away.
"Thanks for tonight, Ashley." I said and smiled.
"No problem. I had a lot of fun." He said before getting out of the car.
He opened my door for me and I realized that he had no ride back to Silverton.
"How are you getting back?" I asked.
"I called the guys earlier and they're going to pick me up." He said and gestured to my address.
"I'll wait with you. I'd invite you in but my roommate is a huge fan and would probably attack you." I said fondly, thinking of my dark haired friend. She was probably still awake and waiting for me to come back home, prepared to attack me and demand for full details of the day. Which was a lot more than I had originally expected for today.
"Is that Alex?" Ashley asked and solemnly looked at my front door.
I completely had forgotten about the letters she'd written to the band.
"Yeah. She's my best friend." I muttered.
"I know," He said, causing me to blink in shock. "She wrote about you and another girl, Cassandra."
"Really?"
"Yeah. Alex has been through a lot and I admire her for it."
"She has, but it made her tougher." I sighed and looked up at the stars.
Alex used to be so sweet and kind. Even when people were rude to her she still went out of her way to help them. That's what got her into trouble. People walked all over her and soon enough she cracked. Ever since last year, she's changed and I'm still trying to figure out if it's for the better.
A bus rumbled down the street and Ashley turned to face me. I stared up at him before sighing and hugging him tightly. Who would've thought that I'd actually miss this guy? Psh, not me, that's for sure.
"See you on our next date." I said and kissed his cheek.
He smirked, "I'm holding it against you, Lexi."
"Bye."
"Night."
I watched as he clambered onto the bus and it drove down the street. I stared at it for a few seconds before walking towards the front door. Like I had expected, Alex was up and pounced on me the moment I stepped into my bedroom.
"How do you know Ashley Purdy?" She demanded and thrusted her iPhone into my face.
On her screen was a picture of Ashley and me talking on stage when I had stolen his hate (which I was still wearing). The caption read, "Ashley Purdy's new girlfriend".
Sorry for the AN up there ^ That was written weeks ago since I had updated this a while ago on another website >.< Anyway, how do you guys feel about a PTV fanfic? I'm thinking about posting one I already have half written . . . Tell me if I should! Thanks guys x
