Another Chance at Love

Chapter 3

I sort of started following Nathalia after  ninth period to see were she would go, she left the school walking away. I guess she was walking home. I was walking towards her to ask what was the homework so I'd have a reason to talk to her. Then my best friend Daniel came and pulled me away.
"Yo Josh theres a party tonight let go."
"Bro it's Monday."
"So you never cared."
"I know but I have a history project due tomorrow."
"Dude you can always retake history but you can't relive a party."
I started laughing and I went with him. I'm pretty he got that from somewhere but still it was funny. I turned around looking for Nathalia but I couldn't see her.

Later on at the party I was sitting down drinking when I saw Nathalia come through the door. I nearly spit out my drink. She was with this girl Mia, Mia and her walked over to me and my friends and she said
" Hey guys this is Nathalia, she's in my Spanish class and shes new so be nice to her."
Everyone said hi to her and she looked at me.
"Hey your Josh right?"
"Yea, how come you came you don't seem like the type to party on a Monday."
" Actually I use to party all the time where I use to live but here I was trying to do good in school but Mia got me to come. So i can make new friends." she said laughing.
Her accent was so cute.
"You'll make friends here don't worry."
She startes laughing and walking away.
I'm gonna make it my goal to talk to her more tonight.
I walked around looking for her when i saw Briana and Ashely talking about her.
"Ash why is she here, she's new so who invited her."
"I don't even know. But anyways I heard she moved here cause her mom died from an over dose and her father is a crackhead."
"Eww what the fuck. She's probably one two."
I just rolled my eyes and passes by and said
"Maybe your just mad because she's prettier than the both of you."
They gave me the dirtiest look and I walked passed them. I found Nathalia talking to Mia and then Mia walked away to say hi to someone and she was by herself so I went up to her.
"Made any new friends?"
"Nope." She  said laughing.
" You probably will soon."
"I don't think anyone here likes me to be honest."
"Cause your diferent but I think thats cool."
"How?"
" Just the way you act and dess."
"This was pretty normal in New York."
"Well this is Ohio eveyone's differnt here. "
She laughed and then she didn't say anything.
"So why did you move here?"
"Umm, my dad wanted to go somewhere quiet."
"oh cool."
I wanted to ask about her mom but I didn't I should and what Ashley and Brianna said might not even be true.
"Well I'll see you around I guess."
She just smiled and walked away.
I went to find my best friend Daniel to see if he had a dime we could smoke.
"Daniel, you got a dime."
"Of course, you trying to smoke." he was aleady slurring his words.
"Yep, let's smoke now I'm bored."
"Bet."
I don't remember alot after that. I was too smacked.
I woked up the next with a headache and I was already really late for school. I got out of bed and rushed to take a shower and get to school.
