Another Chance at Love

Chapter 5

A month has past and me and Natty have gotten closer but as friends though. I want to be more than friends but she probably doesnt feel the same. Also I'm not trying to ruin our friendship. I tell her and she doesn't feel the same we can't be friends. It would be way to akward. I was on my way to pick Natty up so we could walk to school together. I walked up to her house and rang the doorbell and waited. I heard yelling from a guy, I'm guessing her father. I heard screaming from Natty too. I hope she's okay. Natty finally came out. She wearing her ripped jeans and sort of tight shirt and her green jacket. Basically her ussally outfit. I wonder if she even has a pair of jeans that aren't ripped and a shirt that's baggy.
"Hey sorry I was arguing with my dad."
"Yea I heard is everything okay?"
"Yea he just couldn't find something."
"Oh, ummm well let's go."
I could tell it was something wrost than what she said but I didn't want to bother her.
We got to school and we walked to Chemistry. Of course Ashley and Brianna were saying something about her. I think Natty was getting tried of it. Then she got up. I'm 99% sure it's about to go down.
"Listen I'm not one of theses girls you can push around so you need to shut up."
Ashley came up to her very mad, like extremely mad.
"What you gonna do about it, nothing."
" I'm not the one to mess with okay so sit down."
Ashley ran up to push her and Natty decked her in the face. It was pretty fucking fun to me cause Ashley looked really fucking stupid. Then the principle came in and took the both away. I didn't see her for the rest of the day.
After school I went home to check on my parents and then later I was going to see what happened with Natty. I first had to make sure my dad took his medication and my mom got up to go to work. She worked the night shift at a dinner that's about 20 minutes away.
"Mom you need to get up."
"I'm tried, I don't feel like going."
"Well you'll get fired so get up."
I have to ho through this every other day, it was the most annoying thing ever. I was hungry so I ate a sandwich and went on my way to her house. It was a ten minute walk but I finally got there and rang the door bell. Her dad answered. He didn't really look like how I thought he would. I thought he was gonna look like a semi fat old guy. But he look like he was 39 or 40 and he wasn't really fat. He cleared his throat and said
"What do you want."
"Ummm, Where's Nathalia?"
"She's upstairs but she's in trouble so she can't leave."
"What happened?"
"Suspended" He said and just walked away. I'm guessing he didn't want to talk to me. I walked upstairs and knocked on her bedroom door.
"Hey, I just came to see what happened today."
"Oh yea, I got suspended for 4 days."
"Atleast you put ashley in her place."
"I know I was lowkey happy."
"It was really fucking funny."
"Well she ran up on me."
"Was your dad mad?"
"Not really he just said I should have got it after school, that's the benfit of having a young parent."
"Yea your dad looked pretty young."
" Yea my mom and dad had me young. But it's what ever."
We just stayed and talked all night.
" So how was your day."
"I went home and tried to get my mother to go to work and made a samdwich, so my day was fun." I said sarcastically.
"I know how you feel I hate trying to get my dad to go to work and he's the one calling me lazy."
" Oh my god for real my mom always calling me lazy but I actually get out of bed."
We both started laughing.
"Well it's pretty late so I should go."
"Alright bye."
I walked down the stairs and saw her dad passed out on the couch. So I just showed myself out.
