Lauren was exhausted. Mentally, emotionally and physically exhausted. The episode she had in the basement really drained her. In addition to her nightmare, Lauren didn't have the strength to even stand. But the mission isn't over and being the stubborn person she is, Lauren refused to give up.
She sat in the passenger seat of Dinah's car as the tall blonde drove her back to the campus. Lauren stared blankly out the window. She looked like a zombie. Her eyes were bloodshot and she had dark circles under her eyes.
She jumped when she heard a loud buzzing sound. Her body tensed. Her eyes wide. Dinah reached out and placed a hand on Lauren's forearm.
"Hey, it's okay," Dinah said, "It's only my phone."
She reached out and answered the call and placed it on speaker.
"It's Hansen," Dinah said.
"Hey, it's Lucy."
Lauren relaxed in her seat as she let out a sigh in relief.
"Hey Lucy. You're on speaker phone and Lauren's here with me," Dinah said as she drove.
"Oh hey Lauren," Lucy said, "How are you feeling?"
"Just peachy," Lauren said in a strained voice.
"What's going on Vives? Everything okay?" Dinah asked.
"I found something but I think I should tell you guys in person," Lucy said.
"You never know who's listening, y'know?" she added.
"We're heading to the campus now," Dinah said.
"Lauren has to lay low for a while to recover her strength."
"I'm fine," Lauren tried.
"Okay then. I'm on my way," Lucy said before she ended the call.
Lauren looked over at the blonde and glared at her.
"I hate you."
Dinah smiled as she kept on driving.

"Lauren? Oh my god, what happened?" Normani asked as she helped Dinah to bring the girl into the room.
"I'm fine," she said with a weak voice as the two girls set her on her bed.
"What happened?" Normani asked Dinah, knowing Lauren won't give her a real answer.
"She had an attack but she's fine," Dinah said, "Weak but fine."
Lauren glared at the blonde at that 'weak' comment. She hated that word. She hated feeling weak.
She was not weak.
"What kind of attack? Panic? Anxiety?" Normani asked.
Dinah shrugged, "How should I know? I'm no doctor."
"Guys, I'm fine," Lauren said, "I'm just a little tired."
Normani checked her watch and frowned, "My class is about to start soon. I'll check up on you later, okay?"
Lauren nodded as she waved at her roommate as she gathered her books and walked out the door, leaving Dinah and Lauren alone.
"Your roommate's kinda cute," Dinah said.
"Ugh, gross," Lauren said.
Dinah scoffed, "Not as gross as you and that Camila girl."
Lauren frowned at the tall Polynesian, "How would you know anything about that?"
