"Hey baby."
Lauren looked up and saw Camila walk into her room. She gave the brunette a small smile before she looked back down on the ground. Camila frowned as she sat beside her girlfriend on the bed.
"Lauren? Is everything okay?"
"I'm gonna tell them, Camz," Lauren said as she looked up and met her girlfriend's gaze.
"I'm gonna tell them," she repeated.
Camila blinked.
"Are you sure?" she asked, "You don't have to if you're not ready."
Lauren smiled as she took Camila's hands and interlaced their fingers together. She brought their hands up and kissed the back of Camila's hand.
"I'm ready."
"You want me to go with you?"
Lauren shook her head.
"I think this is something I should do by myself," Lauren said.
Camila smiled.
"I'm proud of you," she said.
Lauren let out a light chuckle, "I haven't done it yet."
Camila giggled, "I know. But I'm still proud."
"Thank you, it means a lot coming from you," Lauren said.
"I'm glad," Camila said as she gave her a soft kiss on her lips.
"Come back to me, okay?" Camila said when she pulled away.
"Always," Lauren said as she kissed her.
"I love you, Camz."
"I love you too, Laur."

Camila's eyes fluttered open as she woke up from her slumber. She rubbed her sleepy eyes before she stretched her slightly sore body. Her hand searched the other side of the bed to find it empty. Camila sat up and frowned in confusion.
"Lauren?" she called out, looking around the room.
"I'm here."
Camila turned her head and saw the girl by the door. Lauren's hair was up in a messy bun and she had changed from the clothes they found her in; a clean black tank top and black pants.
"Where'd you go?" Camila asked.
"Ally came by. She wanted to do some tests to find out what they did."
"What's the verdict?"
"I'm stable," Lauren said as she sat beside her girlfriend on the bed.
"The experiment kind of reset the trigger. I won't be crashing any time soon," Lauren said.
Camila gave her a sleepy smile.
"I'm glad."
"There's a but," Lauren said.
Camila rolled her eyes, "There's always a but."
"If I crash again, it'll be my last," Lauren said quietly, "My brain won't be able to handle it."
"I'll be brain dead."
"Let's make sure that doesn't happen," Camila said, looking into Lauren's eyes. She took Lauren's hand and gave it a light squeeze.
"Camz..."
"I'm not losing you again, Lauren," Camila said firmly, "Not again. Not ever."
