I was sitting with Jack for breakfast at a diner, we ordered waffles & fried chicken.
He put some fried chicken in my mouth,
"Yum." I said, grinning, "Baby, I want to tell you something."
"Yeah?" He asked, looking into my eyes.
"I'm gonna stay here after grandma, you know..." I said, looking down at the floor.
"Wow. Are you sure? And where are you gonna stay?" He asked.
"I'll probably rent a small place or something, and I'm looking for universities to go to in Malibu or near Malibu to be able to stay with you here." I said.
He smiled at me and kissed me on my forehead.
Kisses on the forehead meant respect, not like any other kisses, they meant that they respected you as a person and your decisions and your choices and your everything.
"I love you, you know that?" He said it, not so much said as whispered it in my ears.
My heart was beating really fast and I didn't feel anything beside his mouth beside my ears and got lost in our little world.
"And I love you more." I said, kissing him on his neck.
And I thought this summer was gonna suck.
