Dear Diary,
Went out for a birthday meal with mum, Dad and Sophie today, Mum drank far too much – was rather amusing actually.
She finally admitted that she doesn't like James because it reminds her that I'm not with Bobby like her and Sally always joked.
I feel bad for her because I realised she lost her best friend too, the difference being my best friend couldn't contact me hers could of and didn't.
I wish I knew why Sally felt the need to leave. I can guess of course – who wants to be reminded of their dead son. But it doesn't stop me wishing she'd stayed.
