It was barely 7am when I hear my bedroom door open.

"Go away, please," I ask Sophie half asleep.

I hear the door shut but even in my sleep fogged brain I know she hasn't left the room.

"Fine, come sleep in here with me but be quite it's far too early to get up yet." I tell her patting the bed next to me.

"You can sleep but I'm going to read if that's ok," the voice says coming closer.

"BOBBY!" I practically scream sitting up and definitely not asleep now.

"Yeah," he laughs sitting on my bed.

"Who let you in? I thought you were Sophie," I tell him flopping back onto my pillow.

"You're mum and that explains your sleep with me offer, which I'd gladly expect by the way," he says smiling at me.

"Bobby Brown you get your mind out of the gutter! You could have knocked I could have been naked damn it – do you have no boundaries." I tell him in mock indignation.

"I'll remind you that I've seen you naked before," he tells me finally opening the book he brought with him.

"When I was three, I assure you I've changed a lot since then," I tell him poking my tongue out at him as I jump out of bed.

"Where are you going? I thought you wanted to sleep?" he asks.

"I'm going to shower, and then we can go out for breakfast." I tell him knowing he hasn't eaten yet.

"Cool and then you'll show me around?" he asks.

"You know where everything is dummy," I laugh at him grabbing some clothes to take into the bathroom with me.

"Not really, I only know the cool places to hang out if you're under five. I want you to show me where the cool people our age hang out." He tells me.

I'm slightly stunned because I realise he has no idea that I'm not cool. I don't know where the cool people hang out, not from experience anyway. I just nod at him and head for the shower, delaying my inevitable omission that I'm a complete loner.
