The Confrontation

Savanna's POV

I woke up in real life to find my dog laying at my feet growling at the alarm clock. Aww, she was so cute! I got up and did the usual morning stuff, but when I went downstairs my parents were waiting for me.

"Um, hi mom. Hi dad. What's.........."

"Young lady! Aren't you forgetting something?" my mom asked with a look of annoyance on her face.

Oh crap. Am I?

"Um...........I give up what."

Then a wide grin slapped them both in the face.

"Happy Birthday sweetie!" they chimed in unison.

Wait! How could I forget my own birthday!?!?! It was the 23rd of August, which meant it was my birthday and we got to have a pack meeting to celebrate!!! Oh in that moment joy coursed through every vain, filled every bone, and lit up my entire body. I was finally going to turn 18!!! In two years, I would become an Alfa!

"Oh I feel so stupid for forgetting!!! Thanks mom and dad!!!!" and I pulled them into a warm embrace.

"Wow, you got a cake shaped like a- wait a second, my wolf is not Blonde, I'm iridescent remember! And my eyes are not that shade of-" wait. Ocean blue eyes? Those were the color of my mates eyes from the dream.......

"We know, but we just had a feeling- you know? Like when you know something might happen? I personally think this is what your mate looks like and-" I cut her off.

"Mom I had the same feeling omg I have to take a picture of this cake!!!!" I screamed.

"Well um....I'll get the camera......."

I grabbed my phone from my pocket and took so many photos that I had to nearly swallow my food whole to get to school on time.

When I got to school, I had just enough time to get my books from my locker and get to class before the bell rang.

"What took you so long?" I was immediately asked when I sat down. "You are usually one of the first people in class."

"Well if you must know, I was running a little late this morning." I told him.

I was so glad that you could prevent others from hearing your thoughts because if you weren't then I would have killed Daniel by now.

After school, I ran to my car to see Jess and her mate by my car. I had completely forgotten that they were coming over for my birthday! And of course others were coming, but we were having a study group today.

"Hey guys! Just hop in the back seat and I'll drive us to the woods!" I said, starting the engine.

Once we got to the woods, we all grabbed our stuff and started running into the woods. Then we all phased into our wolves. Jess's wolf was a beautiful dark mocha brown with soft brown eyes. Jake, her mate, had bleached blonde hair and green eyes. My wolf was the prettiest in the pack, as my father says. It had iridescent fur, and deep greyish blue eyes with specks of gold in them. I was the only wolf that was this color, at different angles I could seem purple, blue, even green. Once we got to the tree by the river, we all phased back into our wolves and started our homework. This doesn't usually distract me during our study groups, but ever since I got to first period I was very distracted by all the mated wolves cuddling, and that is what they are doing now. It made my wolf whimper when I saw them. All couple-like and cutesy. Ugh, I guess I just really wanted to see my mate. I wanted to gaze into those ocean blue eyes and taste his beautiful pink lips....

"Um, are you ok Savanna? You have been acting strange all day," Jess snapped me out of my thoughts. "I mean, I know it's your birthday, but all you did today was stare at mated wolves!"

"Ya sorry, but I just thought I would find my mate by now."

"Oh, well we can ask the Alfa at the ceremony for your birthday tonight if there is anything we can do to help."

"Thanks Jess, you really are the best friend a she-wolf could ever have."

After we finished our homework, we drove back to my house and ran upstairs. Jess and I ran into the closet to pick out an outfit for me to wear.

"You want it to be sexy, but not to sexy because of all the perverts there like Daniel." she said. "If it is to sexy, you might be nocked out and raped by a lonely, unmated pervert tonight."

With that she giggled and laid out an ocean blue dress that had one side short skirted with a long sleeve and the other long skirted with no sleeve at all. It was simple, but it was also sexy.

"This is perfect!" I said with a huge grin on my face.

I gave her a tight hug, then rushed her out so I could change. when I looked in the mirror I saw someone completely different. The dress showed off all my curves, and was complemented nicely by my earrings. My dirty blonde hair was styled into a wavy side ponytail with a few accents of ocean blue hair dye on the ends. on my feet were a pair of ocean blue platform heels that made me just as tall as Jessica. I was beautiful in a very sexy kind of way.

When I stepped out of the closet, I saw Jessica wearing a bright pink sequined dress with pink pumps and hoop earrings. Her hair was styled into perfect curls and she was wearing very little makeup, but she was so gorgeous. Jake was wearing a black suit with a pink tie and undershirt. He was wearing dresshoes and his hair was styled into a quiff. They were so perfect for each other.

We got to the ceremony and I walked over to the bonfire. Then I felt a hand on my shoulder. It spun me around and I was face to face with the person I hated the most- Coral Prostalo.

"I hope you don't get killed Salamander. I would hate to miss my chance before you become Alfa." she cooed, a smirk playing on her lips.

Did she just threaten me? If she did, that means she threatened her future Alfa. And that means she just secured herself a one way ticket to a living hell.

Because when I'm Alfa, things are gonna change.
