To me,

Writing is a new beginning

A fresh start

A blank page to be filled with a new life.

Because every story written is a life.

It will give some person out there strength

It will allow someone to be brave

It will allow me to become fearless.

It allows us to escape from a world that may or may not need escaping from.

Some of us need an escape more desperately than others,

But all of us need one.

From stress

From parents

Family

Friends

School

Work

Partners

People in general.

When we cannot cope with the world,

Writing

Books

Words are there.

They will love you unconditionally.

They will give you a second

Third

Fourth

Twentieth chance.

They will not judge you.

They will not leave you

Or fail

Or give up

Or run out on you.

They will welcome you time and time again.

And each time you can reimagine people

Places

Adventures

Lives.

You can love

You can weep

You can laugh and

You can live through words.

They will give you a home when you have none to return to.

They will give you friendship when you are alone.

They will give you love when you yearn for it

And adventure for the wanderlust-stricken.

They can give you a life beyond your own

If you only trust them.
