Christian's p.o.v.
I should have known it was her, but now Carolina is here; there I nothing I can do.
"Why are you here Momma?" Carolina asks, stepping in front of James.
"Kalin asked me to come to tell her the baby genders. I do not wish a conflict with you. I will leave peacefully and only return when asked."
"Please don't go Momma, you just got here. I forgive you for what you did, but I cannot forgive you If you just leave me here alone again with no explanation."
"It is apparent that I am not wanted here still Carolina. I must go."
"You do not get to go anywhere without explaining everything," Kalin says with her purple eyes glowing extremely bright.
"If you wish that, then I have no choice but to obey. Although I may not be a part of this pack, your power is overflowing and it could be dangerous to not follow your orders. Where shall I start?"
"At the beginning."
"Well my wolf was getting extremely sick because my witch side overpowered her. The only way to save my wolf was to remove her from my body. The only problem with that is that I could not be a part of this pack any more once she was removed. I put it off for as long as I could until I miscarried and started to black out. During the black outs, I would hurt Carolina."
She turns to her daughter.
"I am so sorry for all that I have done. There is no way to make up for what I did."
She faces Kalin and me again.
"Anyways, I finally talked to Brandon about it, after what I did was found out. He understood the need for me to keep it from everyone, including my mate. He kicked me out but granted me the ability to come back after I took care of my wolf. About month ago, he told me about you two and I know that it was time to come back for a short while. I hoped to see Carolina and James, but I did not wish to explain my sickness to anyone."
She faces them.
"I have no excuses for hiding any of this from either of you. I thought it was for the best, but now I know that I wrong to a certain point. I should have told you, but I could not take the pain of you knowing that I was not perfect."
James takes a step forward, now standing beside Carolina.
"You were never perfect. None of have or will be perfect Cailleach. We would have been there for you, to support and love. But now, even if you blame it on blacking out, you hurt our child and there is no way to repent for that. I don't want you to leave, but it's hard to forgive and forget right now."
"Stop Dad. You can't blame just her. You were always working, always gone, never home. I'm not saying that this is your fault, but it's not just her to blame. The problem is no longer the mistake she made, but you two are letting it keep you guys separated. You guys were made for each other. Momma, do you still love Dad?"
Cailleach nods her head.
"Dad, do you still love Momma?"
"I couldn't stop loving her, no matter how hard I tried," he whispers.
"There you go then. No one says you two can't be together now. Sure the pack might have a stick up their butts for a while, but they while come around."
Are you sure she doesn't have Alpha blood in her? Kalin asks.
She has witch blood, which is almost as strong as Alpha blood, I reply.
That explains a lot, like how it feels like she has more power than she does.
"Alpha?" Carolina asks.
"Yes Carolina?"
She has a pleading look in her eyes. She looks like a child asking a question an adult would ask. The more is look at her, the more mature and older she looks. Worry lines already run slightly over her face. This is not what she should look like. She should look younger, more lively.
"Does Momma have your permission to stay on pack grounds?"
"I only knew certain things before, but now knowing the whole story and seeing how she has been helpful, it only has she proven herself as a loyal ally, she has earned the right to stay here if she wishes. Besides, it would be wrong if I went against my father's wishes."
"Thank you Alpha," Cailleach says.
"You do not have to call me that."
"I would feel better if I did though."
"Okay then."
"Oh Carolina, I'm going to show you how to use your witch powers. You have more wolf than witch, so there shouldn't be a problem like the one I had. Of course, if you don't want to learn then I won't teach you," Cailleach says to Carolina.
"I would love to learn," she replies.
The run the tiny distance towards the other and embrace each other in what could only be assumed as a bone crushing hug. I look at James, and it almost seems as if he is a teenager looking at his mate for the first time, but with hesitation.
Things have to be mended before they can return to normal once again. Give it time James. I tell him.
He only looks at me and smiles a knowing smile.
Did you just fix their family? Kalin asks.
No, I only have them permission I fix it.
You are such a wonderful Alpha.
Just wonderful?
No, you're prefect, amazing, sexy, loving, caring, handsome, perfect
You said perfect twice.
That's because you're too perfect to just be one perfect.
I bet you just don't want to admit that you made a mistake.
If you say so.
I do, I very much do.
I know.
I know you know.
I know that you know I know.
But did you know that I knew that you know that I know that you know that I know?
I do.
Then case close.
She laughs out loud and the three other people look at her.
"Sorry, Christian and I were having a conversation," she whispers.
"No, I'm sorry we are still here," James says.
He bows his head and walks out of the door, Cailleach and Carolina follow his lead; starting the with head bow.
"So when are we going to tell everybody about everything?" Kalin bluffs out as soon as the door shuts.
