Joey Problems

Chapter 5

I woke up to the smell of burnt bacon and toast. Joey can not cook to save his life. I ran down stairs to hear the smoke alarm going off, a few minutes later my mom came down.

"Loren what the hel- oh it's Joey never mind. How many times do we tell you to not touch the kitchen, if you want food cooked please ask before you burn down my house." My mom said while fixing the alarm and throwing the burnt food away.(Both of our parents treat each of us like we their own kids, hope that wasn't confusing.)

"Yes Michelle, I'm sorry." He says trying to hold his laugh in.

"Let's go get ready, we are going to the mall today!" I told Joey instead of asking, oops lol.

"Loren don't forget that you have a photo shoot at 3:30!"My mom told me while still cleaning up Joeys mess. It was currently 10:30am.

"K!" I said and left.

We both run to my room to get ready, I take my clothes and go into my bathroom and Joey goes into the guest bathroom. I chose a simple black crop top with long sleeves and two white lines going around both arms, light ripped jeans, and white converse. For makeup I did a little foundation, blush, winged eyeliner, and mascara. Then I straightened my bleach blonde hair. Joey came out with a Hollister shirt, tan shorts, and white vans. Then we went downstairs. My mom wasn't there but there was a note saying,

Loren,
Went to go get a couple of things from the store be back soon, have fun at the mall be home by 1 so we can left early. Be safe love you!

There was 40 bucks on the counter right next to the note.

"20 for me 20 for you?" I asked holding the money out of Joey to take.

"Surree. More like 39 for Loren and a dollar for Joey." I laughed while he just rolled his eyes and took the money I was holding for him in one hand.

He grabbed his penny board from his house while I just walked. (I don't know how, and if I tried I'd probably just fall on my face again. Joey made me do it before when we were younger.)

I was scrolling through my phone when I saw a tweet Ethan posted. It said, "missing you, please talk to me again. 😔" some of his fans commented asking what was going on. (Oh yea Ethan starting vining and doing YouTube videos now and has gained some supporters. Idk) I tweeted back, "don't break my trust. Sometimes seeing new people are the best. 😔" I mean Ethan and I were never a thing but I did have feelings for him. I locked my phone and put it in my back pocket.

"So what's new gurllll?" he asked trying to start a conversation.

"Nothing special, just started modeling and now I'm getting a lot of followers and supporters on social media. How about you, anything new?" I asked. my life wasn't that interesting, plus Joey knows everything about me.

"While I'm glad you asked because I have a new girl friend." He said while smiling, it makes me feel good when I see Joey happy.

"Aww Joey gotta girl friend! What's her name? How old is she? Where is she? How long have you been dating?"I threw so many questions at him. He started laughing.

"Maggie, 14, Virginia, 3 months." He answered my questions one by one.

"So how is the long distance thing gunna work?" I asked, because I was wondering I never had a long distance relationship before.

"I'm not really sure, it's hard but we are both willing to fight to be together." He sounded like he truly liked her. I wish I could find someone like that.

"Oh okay." I was kinda jealous, but I can get over it I hope.

"Yea, come here." he stated.

"Why?" I asked.

"Because."

I walk over to him, because he is in the middle of the street. He gets off his penny board and tells me to get on.

"Joey no, you know I can't ride these things!" I said while slightly laughing.

"Please try! For me!?" he said with the puppy dog eyes, there goes trying to move on.

"I don't wanna fall on my face again!" I said while laughing.

"I'll be right here, I'll hold you just please try."

"Yea you said that last time." I said while folding my arms on my chest.

"Yea while this time I'm a lot stronger and I can catch you if you fall, and I won't push you this time."

"Ugh fine, wait you pushed me!" And while that he picked me up and put me on the penny board.
He was holding my by my waist and lightly pushing me along. I'm not gonna lie I like it.

We finally reached the mall and we ran into all of our favorite store and used a lot of the money, we left 10 dollars a side to get Starbucks when we left. We walked around for an hour or two and then decided to go home. We stopped by Starbucks because why not, we're white!

Then went home, Joey went back to his house and I went to mine because I had to get ready for my photo shoot. When I got home I went to my room to remove my makeup because they always do my makeup and all that good stuff. I grabbed my phone and headed down stairs to see my mom sitting on the couch on her phone. She had a concerned face while looked at her phone but I decided to leave it alone because she doesn't like when I get in her business and she doesn't come into mine that often. We my mom finally noticed I came down stairs she looked up from her phone.

"Ready sweetie?" she asked.

"Yup let's go!" She grabbed her keys and we got in the car.

The photo shoot went by fast and I had a lot of fun. Then we headed home. When we got home there was another car in the driveway but it didn't look like my brothers. I don't know why he would be here though, unless baseball was finished for the season.

"Did bubba get a new car?" (My nickname for my brother, idk why but when I was a baby that's all I could call him.)

"No." my mom simply stated, I could tell that she knew what was going on.

I got out of the car and opened the front door to see someone standing there and I would never expect to see standing there in the living room.
