Blow Up On Social Media

Chapter 8

Last night, before we went to bed I posted a picture on Instagram of me outside of Liz's house with a firecracker. I really liked the picture it looked cool. When I woke up at 11:30 pm my phone was non stop vibrating. 'What the heck is that about.' I asked myself. I wiped the sleep out of my eyes and went to go get my phone. When I unlocked it I saw it was coming from Instagram, i opened it up and saw that I had over 1k new followers and over 3k likes on all my photos! OMG! This is huge. I put my phone on 'Do Not Disturb' and went to wake Liz up.

"Hey sleeply head, time to wake up." I said nicely because let me tell you, Liz is not a very nice person when she wakes up.

"diuds good away." She said into her pillow, she might of said more but I didn't catch it. If she did, I can't write those words.

"Okay then you forced me, OMG hi Hunter!" I said a little louder.

"What Hunter where?" She jumped out of bed so quick, she fell straight on the floor.

"Ahahahahahahahahaha!" I couldn't stop laughing. She got up and started hitting me with a pillow causing a pillow fight to the death.

Once we stopped we both raced down stairs to eat. I had Captain Crunch while Liz had, Frosted Flakes. While we were eating, I decided to tell her about the social media blow up.

"Hey Liz, can I tell you something?" I asked while starring into my bowl full of milk.

"Of course, whats up Loren?" She asked trying to make eye contact with me, once we made eye contact I started talking again.

"Do you remember when we took the photo last night of me with the fire crackers?" She nodded. "While I posted that on Instagram and I woke up this morning and saw that it blew up and I'm getting a lot of likes and new followers." I finished and looked down at my bowl again. I don't know why I was so hard to tell Liz this, I guess I just didn't want her to get jealous.

"Well doesn't that happen all the time?" She asked.

"Yeah, but not like this. This is big." I told her and looked into her confused eyes again.

She took out her phone and puled up my Instagram page and looked at everything. Then her eyes went huge. "Dude! You just hit 30k followers!" Then my eyes went wide.

"What?!" I asked with excitement in my voice then ran over to her and looked over her shoulder and down at her phone. 'Omg this is HUGE!'

"Omg this is HUGE!" Liz said what my mind was thinking. "I have to call Hunter and tell him."

"Wait why?" I asked.

"Because he said this would happen!" She answered as she began FaceTiming Hunter.

I should call Joey and tell him about this, nah I want to tell him in person. Then I started thinking about how I needed to hang out with him because I missed him. Then I started thinking about, Cameron! I'm hanging out with Cameron today! I gotta go!

I said goodbye to Liz and grabbed my stuff. On my way out I saw Hunter.

"Hey Loren!" He shouted.

"Hey" I shouted back.

"Congrats on the social media blow up." He told me as he came closer and closer to the house.

"Thanks, sorry but I gotta go." I quickly told him, he nodded and I ran home.

I reached my house and ran though the front door where Cameron was eating cerel and watching TV on the coach.

"There you are. Wanna leave in like half an hour?" He asked,

"Sure." I said kissing his cheek and running up stairs to my room.

I told a quick shower and throw on a crop top and shorts and vans. I put my hair into a messy bun and applied a light layer of makeup. Cameron hates it when girls wear lipstick so I put on lipstick. I got down stairs and went over to Cameron and kissed his cheek again.

"What was that fo- LOREN!" He shouted, he now had a brown lipstick stain on his cheek. "I hate you so much." He said as he walked over to the sink and began to wash his face.

We drove around until we pulled up in front of a indoor go kart racing place! I loved this place so much! This was OUR place when we moved here. We both smiled at each other and entered.

"I'm gonna kick your butt baby sis." Cam said as he was setting himself up in the go kart.

"We'll see." I replied as I began to place my hands on the wheel.

I WON! Cam was mad but we laughed and had a good time. After a few more laps, we went to go get food.

-While eating pizza-

"Hey Cam can I tell you something?" I asked

"Yeah, whats up?"

I explained the whole social media thing and my modeling career. I could tell he was proud of me but he kept telling me to be safe on social media because of all the creeps out in the world. Agh sometimes I hate having an annoying protective older brother. But I love him and wouldn't trade him for the world, most of the time. We went back home and watched movies, then I got a text from Joey.

M= Hey Joey whats up?

J= I have someone I want you to meet...
