The next morning...

*Hunter's POV:*

I hear my phone ringing and vibrating on my night stand and grab it. I open my eyes just a crack to see Dann's name and face pop up. I sigh and hit the green answer button. "Hello?" I answer, my voice groggy.

Apparently, Jaila thinks my morning voice is cute. I'm just trying to wake up, woman! I put my index finger and my thumb on the bridge of my nose to wake myself up more.

"Hey, Hunter. Listen, can you come down to the studio?" He asks.

I sigh and look at my clock: 8:30 exactly. "It's so early!"

"That's my point."

I sigh a bit. "Alright. I'll be down there."

"Great! See ya later."

"Bye." I hang up and look at the empty bed next to me. I sigh. I decide to text Jaila. I sit up and text her this:

[btw, Hunter is bolded and Jaila's italicized]

Hey baby!!!!!! I love you!!!! I miss you!!!! :)

I sigh and run my fingers through my hair. I smile as she texts me back.

Hey.

My smile fades. She usually texts me a sweet text. Huh...

You okay babe?

I get up and get dressed in a maroon colored tee with jeans. I get a text from her.

Yeah. Just tired.

Oh man... I probably woke her up.

Did I wake you?

I brush my hair and style it with some gel and hairspray in a spiked look, washing my hands afterward. I get a text from her.

Tbh yeah.

I frown. Aw man!

Oops. Sorry baby. Go back to sleep. I love you.

Okay. I love you too.

I brush my teeth and grab both my car and hotel keys, sunglasses, phone and wallet. Soon, I head out the door. I'm craving Starbucks, as always. I call Dann back to see if he wants anything.

It rings for a bit.

"Hello?"

"Hey, it's me. Do you want anything at Starbucks?"

"Uhh... What are you getting?"

"A Pumpkin Spice Latte."

"Uhh... Sure. I'll have that. Thanks. I'll pay you back, don't worry."

"You don't have to pay me back, man. It's all good."

"You sure?"

"Positive. Just think of it as a... uh... as a thank you."

"Well, alright. If you say so. Thanks, man."

"No problem. See you in a bit."

"Alright. bye."
