Beacon Hills was open again. Bri had no choice to go to school considering Derek still hadn't turned up, this also meant she was having put up refuge at the Martin household for a while. She was getting seriously worried that Derek wasn't going to come back. The thought made her want to break down into tears but she couldn't. She had to stay strong, at least for one day, because it was the full moon.
Thankfully Brianna managed to avoid Allison and Lydia. She couldn't deal with the questions that would be asked at least until the clock was at double digits. The strawberry blonde had been quizzing her on Derek from the moment Lydia's mother took her in but chances are she would've thought up some new questions.
She took a seat in Harris's class and grimaced at the exam. Brianna tried to avoid eye contact from everybody who was in the school that night. With an annoyed look she listened to Harris moan on while sending digs at Stiles.
"You have forty five minutes to complete the test. 25% of your grade can be earned right now simply by writing your name on the cover of the blue book. However, as happens every year, one of you will inexplicably fail to put your name on the cover, and I'll be left yet again questioning my decision to ever become a teacher. So let's get the disappointment over with. Begin."
The test and the ignoring everybody was going well until she saw Scott storming out of the classroom with Stiles following after him. "Oh for goodness sake," Brianna muttered under her breath before she stood up. As she jogged down the hallway she whispered to herself again. "Can't we have one normal day?"
She followed the footsteps into the boys locker room. Inside she heard Stiles panicky ask Scott if was changing but from his response the answer was now. Brianna quickened her pace and made it to the shower area. Thankfully, both of the boys junk weren't exposed and Scott was just topless.
"Hey, you okay?" Brianna asked Scott. Throwing her bag away, Brianna continued to walk over to the boys. "Using the shower, nice work."
"Stiles, Brianna, I can't-"
Brianna's eyes widened and she took a step closer to Stiles who turned to her immediately. "What's happening? Is he changing?" He asked.
"No." Scott stated. "No, I can't breathe."
"I don't-" Brianna started, turning to Stiles. "I don't know how to help him with this and this isn't me being petty for throwing Derek under the bus. I genuinely don't know what to do."
"It's a good job I do." Stiles replied simply. The boy began searching through Scott's bag until he found Scott's old inhaler. Stiles passed it to his best friend quickly. "Here, use this. Come on, do it."
Reluctantly Scott grabbed the inhaler and used it like he used to have to do. When he seemed to be better Brianna furrowed her eyebrows, "He was having an asthma attack?" She asked in disbelief.
"No, he was having a panic attack." Stiles explained. "But thinking you were having an asthma attack actually stopped the panic attack. Irony." He sang the last word.
Scott looked at him as confused as Brianna was a moment ago, "How did you know to do that?" He asked.
"I used to get them after my mom died. Not fun, huh?" Stiles explained and Brianna smiled up at him to comfort him. Loosing your mom sucks, they both knew that.
Scott's heavy breathing seemed to get better but it didn't stop him from sounding out of breath when he spoke. "I looked at her, and it was like someone hit me in the ribs with a hammer."
"Yeah, it's called heartbreak." Brianna replied. "About two billion songs written about it."
"I can't stop thinking about her."
