Alex's POV

After my date with Ezra, the rest of the week went fairly quick. Nobody really bothered me except Lola and my mother. Lola hasn't stopped texting me since I agreed to go to the concert with her, I still haven't told her about knowing them yet. She is going to be really mad at me. I just hope she understands my reasoning for not telling her. Do I even have any reasoning? Of course I do, its because I knew she'd go all cuckoo crazy when I introduced her to them and she'd have some freak attack. She just wouldn't be herself around them, and that bugs me because they're normal people doing what they love and deserve to be treated as such.

*buzz buzz* I quickly reach for my phone on the end table. "Hello," I answer. "Alex is it okay if I come stay at your house tonight, I'm too excited for tomorrow to be alone. I need someone to keep me under control." I roll my eyes, of course its Lola. "Yeah, I don't see why not. Be here around five though," I answer. "Yay," she squeals and hangs up quickly. I stare at the phone for a few seconds, that was the shortest phone call I've ever had with her.

I glance at the time, 10:30. I've got more than a couple hours to kill before Lola gets here. What should I do to pass the time? Maybe I'll text Louis and see if he wants to hang out, or maybe I'll go to my mom's and kill a few hours baking with her. I chuckle to myself at the second option, my mom never bakes...anything. She always claims to not have enough time. Welp, looks like I might be hanging out with Lou today and if he can't I'll just have to resort to going to my mother's.

Louis' POV

"Ten minute break boys." "Thank goodness," Niall says throwing himself onto the floor. I laugh and pull out my phone, one new message. Nice to know I'm important to one person, I laugh at my own sarcasm. 'Hey are you doing anything today, I'm really bored and was wondering if you'd like to hang out?' I sigh and type a message back, 'Cant, rehearsals today. Sorry love.' "Who you texting Lou?" I jump at the playful question from Liam. I look up and notice the smug smirk on his face. "Alex, and I hope you realize that this is one of those times I want to smack that look off your face." "Of course it is," he chuckles.

"Okay ready and five, six, seven, eight." "Wesley, we're singers, not cheerleaders," Zayn says to our choreographer. "I beg to differ," Niall says motioning to Harry who is attempting a cartwheel. A very bad cartwheel if I might add. "My cartwheel is way better than yours Harold," I say attempting my own cartwheel, which is actually quite better than Harry's. He sticks his tongue out at me, "Show off." "Come on guys focus," Wesley says, clearly annoyed with our five year old behavior. I snicker a little too loud and Wesley shoots me a look that good kill. "Wesley, what's the point of this dancing, you know we won't do any of this at the concert," Liam says matter of factly. "I don't exactly know Liam." Wesley puts his head in his hands.

After about five minutes of our little game called Annoy the Wesley, he says, "You know what, I'm so frustrated with you guys. You all, except for Liam and Zayn, are acting like five year olds. I'm done here. I hope you all look like headless chickens running around tomorrow night at the concert." He turns and walks towards the door, slamming it behind him. "Yay, he's gone,'' Niall says, quite loudly and happily. "What do you guys suggest we do now," Zayn asks. "We could play spin the Harry," I suggest with a sly smile on my face. "No we are not playing spin the Harry, remember what happened to me last time we did that. Glass was everywhere, including me." I sigh disappointedly, this was going to be the longest time of my life.

Alex's POV

"Honey, why didn't you call and tell me you were coming over, I would've cleaned the place up a little bit. You know how you're father can be," my mother says as I walk in to an, of course, immaculate house. "How can her father be," I hear my dad call from the living room. He's probably watching t.v. through his eyelids like he normally does. "Don't worry about it daddy," I call sweetly. "So Alexandria," "Alex mom, please call me Alex," "Sorry dear. So Alex, what did you need? You never come over unannounced without needing or should I say wanting something." "Just somebody to kill some time with, Lola is coming over later and I didn't want to be bored all day," I answer honestly. "Well just let me get dressed and we can go out shopping and then to lunch." I hadn't even noticed she was still in her pajamas. I nod and sit down at the kitchen table.

"Patrick, we're going out for a few hours, there's some leftover meatloaf in the fridge for you to heat for lunch." "Mary, while you're out pick up some tea, I had the last of it with breakfast," my father calls in response. "Yes dear," she answers while rolling her eyes. "Let's go," I say opening the door and walking out. "Do you want me to drive Alexan- I mean Alex," my mother says, correcting herself. "No I can," I answer with a smile. "Okay then, let us be on our way," she says, pulling the door shut tightly behind her.

"So, how did your date with Ezra go," she asks curiously. "Actually, it went way better than I had expected it to." Or had hoped it would go, I mentally add. "I knew you'd have a great time. Ezra is such a nice young man." "That he is," I add, smiling at the truth of her words. "Have you guys planned any other dates yet?" "Not yet mum," I say, knowing exactly where this is headed. "Well Alex you can't just wait for the guy to make the next move. You might have to be the one to ask for another date." I sigh. "Mum, I don't exactly want a second date, maybe hanging out as friends but I don't think I could ever really have feelings for him. He just doesn't seem like the right guy for me." "Oh you're just being too quick to jump to a conclusion, you guys have only had one date so far. You don't know if you will or won't eventually develop feelings for him." I roll my eyes. The only reason you want me to be with him is because he is CEO of a company and rich, I think to myself.

"Mum, trust me I know I won't develop feelings for him. And I am not quick to jump to conclusions, I just know what I like in a person. Although he has many of those qualities that I like, I just don't think he could make me as happy as he could make some other lucky woman." Her jaw drops at my explanation. I stare at her and take a sip of my soda. She has to understand that I'm not going to want to be with every guy I meet and or in this case she sets me up with. I knew this was a bad idea to hang out with my mother. "I think you should give him a chance, you aren't being fair to him you know," she finally says. "Mother, I am being fair and giving him a chance, just not the relationship kind of chance. I want to be friends with him, but I don't think I've actually met anyone yet that I want to give that kind of chance to yet." In acutuality, there is one guy I want to give that chance but she doesn't need to know that.
