Chapter 23

Kashayla's POV 
I woke up around 10:45 with August's arms still wrapped around me. I slowly slid out of his grip and made my way into the bathroom. Today I had about 5 appointments and I was actually excited about it. I felt like I hadn't been at work in forever even though it had only been about 3 days of me being off. After handling my hygiene I went into the closet and grabbed a simple black sundress and a pair of gold and black sandals. I went back into the restroom and put my hair into a neat high ponytail and put on some small black hoop earrings. I applied a small amount of makeup and lipgloss and then some perfume. Checking the time it was now 11:20 and Aug was still sprawled out in my bed snoring lightly.

" August wake up I'm about to leave for work in 10 minutes." I said shaking him a little. He continued to sleep which is why I hated waking him up. It always took too long. I shook him again, harder this time making him groan.

" Get up." I laughed. He opened his eyes and looked up at me grumpily.

" Why can't I just stay here while you work?" He asked pulling the covers over him some more. I actually didn't see why he couldn't but I didn't think he would wanna be here while I wasn't here.

"You know what, go ahead. Do me a favor and make up the bed when you wake up though." I said starting to walk away.

" Where my kiss at?" He said turning completely over to look at me. I rolled my eyes and made my way over to him to peck him on the lips quickly.

" You need to go put a toothbrush to use." I said giggling making him slap me on the butt.

" I'm going back to sleep." He mumbled turning the other way. I grabbed my purse and phone off the dresser making sure my wallet and keys were inside and headed downstairs to grab a apple and yogurt out the refrigerator. After getting all my things I headed out the door and made my way to work.

August's POV
I went back to sleep for about another hour after Kashayla left for work. I finally got out her bed and handled my hygiene then headed to her closet to get one of the hoodies she had kept of mine. After sliding it over my head I went downstairs to make myself some noodles when I noticed Kourtney sitting on the couch on her phone. I got my noodles out the microwave and sat on the chair beside the couch. Kourtney looked up from her phone and looked at me, not saying shit. If she ain't gone  speak neither am I. I grabbed the remote turning the tv on flipping through the channels until I landed on ATL. I began eating my noodles when I heard her speak up.

"Did you really have to come down here and turn the tv on?" She asked, attitude laced in her voice. I get she got issues going on with her sister but I ain't finna  deal with this lil heffa attitude. I ain't did shit to nobody.

" Lil guh I ain't did shit to ya. The problem is wit you and ya sister, so allat animosity you got can wait till she get home from work." I said looking over at her.

" Actually there is a problem I have with you. I don't like the way you came at Curtis's brother right in front of him and his parents." She said locking her phone and crossing her arms across her chest.

" Well if his bitch ass brother wasn't coming at my lady the wrong way, I would've never had ta come at him any kind of way. If anythang you shoulda had a pro'lem with how he was talking to yo sister." Ion wanna have to hurt Kashayla's sisters feelings, but I'm all for it if she keep talkin reckless. She need to understand ion play with people kids.
