The New Boy

Second Day

This chapter will be in Lydia's p.o.v. (point of view)

I walked into my first period calls 5 minutes early, and much to my surprise, Jeremy was already there. I set my stuff at my seat at the back of the room and walked up to his desk. He looked up from what he was doing when I approached. "Hey. Can I help you with something?" He said with a smile. I couldn't help but think of last night when I couldn't fall asleep. Jareds room is right down the hall from mine, and he kept saying "I'll kill that little bitch and her goth weirdo too." It was terrifying. Today he didn't even come to school. I realized I was ignoring Jeremy, and cute boys shouldn't be ignored. "Oh umm no I just wanted to talk and hangout. I'm bored and you're kinda my friend I guess." I blushed. I can't flirt to save my life. It doesn't help that I'm not beautiful either. He has the same color hair as me, but oh my lord....his eyes are soo amazing. Mine are just hazel, but when I'm mad their yellow, and that's kind of cool I guess. I may have developed a slight crush on Jeremy, but I only had 1st period, 6th period and 7th Period with him, and lunch, but still. He was acting a little weird. Then again, I hadn't known him for that long. I decided to do something I hadn't ever done before, but I couldn't explain why I wanted Jeremy. Sure he was hot, but there was something else to it. I wanted to know more about him. So, I did what most girls are too afraid to do. "Hey umm I was wondering if maybe you wanted to go catch a movie or go for pizza in Saturday?" I asked, the air between us packed with tension. He got an embarassed smile on his face and blushed a little, his dimples showing. "Sure," he said as he broke into a real smile, "I would like that a lot. I'll pick you up at 7:30? If thats a problem, call me." He said as he handed me a piece of paper with his number on it. I unlocked my phone and put his number in under "crush". I'm so excited.

2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th periods came and went. Then it was time for lunch. I went to the same table as yesterday and waited for Jeremy to show up. He sat by me and started eating his food. We ate in silence. Then, the weirdest thing happened. The cheer captain, my older brothers girlfriend, Aislynn came over to put table. She gave Jeremy a piece of paper and walked away. I was confused. "Well, what was that about?" I asked Jeremy. "Oh it's nothing, she have me her adress so I can come over to her house to work on our project for 2nd period." I slid the piece of paper into his pocket. I didn't know Jeremy that well, but I knew him well enough to know he was lying. I didnt push it, and i just hoped that Asilynn wasnt cheating on my brother, and Jeremy was already going behind my back.
