Wow I'm nervous. I went and grabbed my little brother out of his room, and had him help me pick out a dress to wear. It was between a red, long, strapless dress that had a black belt, and rhinestones across the top, the bottom was flowy and had a side cut all the way up. The other option was A shorter black dress with the same top as the red one but with straps and black, and the bottom went down to my knees and was tight skirted, with a mermaid cut below there. My brother chose the red one. Good boy.
Jeremy pulled up to my house. He had a red Camero, that matches my dress, black stripes and all. Jeremy had on a black button down shirt, some nice jeans, his leather jacket, and his trademark Converse. My nervousness faded when I saw him get out of the car and smile. He opened the passenger door for me, I got in, and we drove to the movie theater. I was super excited to see what movie we were watching.
Jeremy for us tickets to go see The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part two. I had already seen all the other ones, and so had he. We watched it, and after the movie, we went back into the lobby. I had had a soda, so naturally, I had to pee. "Hey Jeremy, I'm gonna go use the restroom ok?" I said, a little awkwardly. "Yea ok I'll wait for you here." He said, grinning. I went and as I was coming back, I saw that he was ready to go.
We drove out to a little park and set in the swings, just talking for a while. The park was just around the corner from my house, so if he wanted, he could drop me home pretty soon. "Lydia?" He asked, biting his lip and looking at me with his eyebrows scrunched. "Yea, Jere?" I said. He looked at me for a little bit. He got real quiet as he said, "Why did you ask me out?" He said, a concerned look on his face. "What do you mean? You're gorgeous, smart and wonderful. Why did you agree to go out with me?" I asked, more than a little suspicious. "Is there something you want to tell me?" I said, looking at him skeptically. "I.....Lydia, look, I like you, and you're a great girl, but I have some problems that I need to sort through on my own. I just need me time for a little while. I don't think this was a good idea." We sat in silence. "Do you want me to wa-" I cut him off midsentence by saying, "No. No I dont. I don't even want to see you ever again. You were the one person here I thought would actually understand. You dont. Goodbye Jeremy." I said, getting up and walking to the edge of the park. I didn't even look back when I heard his Camaro start up and drive out into the night.
I broke into a run as I neared my house. I took my heels off and let the makeup stream down my face.
