Chapter 4: The Surgeon

Erza's POV

We had just entered Magnolia and were headed to the guild when we met up with Gray and Natsu.

"Hey guys how was your job" Natsu asked
"Well before we arrived it seemed someone did it for us" Lucy explained
"Huh really?"
"Yeah, he then left without accepting the payment" Wendy said with admiration
"Really?" Happy asked
"For me that seems a bit odd" Carla added
"Huh why?" Lucy asked a bit confused
"Well the fact he isn't part of a guild makes hard to believe he did it out of the goodness of his heart" Carla suggested
"It does seem weird, bit for now let's get back to the guild" Erza concluded

The Guild: Third POV

As the group pushed open the doors to the guild they saw a man with a head in his hand and were immediately shocked.

"What the-!"

The dust cleared and it was the man that Erza and the others were talking about. The head was Laxus and as soon as they were about to attack him his head started to talk.

"Hey you bastard put me back on my body! Or I'll kick you ass" He demanded
"Then it's best if you stay like this until you cool down"

Everyone was shocked about this he was able to defeat Laxus so easily.

"Okay I won't kick yer ass!" He said
"Ask nicely" he countered
"Please you bastard!"
"Good enough I suppose"

His head then floated to his body reattaching to his body. He then began to get up in a shame of defeat.
Law then began to walk away until he was stopped again.

"Umm....excuse me" a small voice said

He turned around to see a small blue haired girl. She had a huge smile on her face.

"Yes" Law said calmly
"Are you the doctor that saved that village?" She asked a bit overly excited
"Yes, I suppose" he said plainly
"Thank you" She said bowing

He just stood there with a expressionless face and began to walk over to the bar again. Wendy then followed him sitting next to him. He asked for a beer while Wendy asked for a cup of juice.

"So...." Wendy said with a smile while he remained quiet.
"What kind of doctor are you?"
"A surgeon" he answered
"Wow really?"

At The Other End Of The Bar

The other girls were suprised at what they saw, Wendy was never this excited over someone.

"Hey you guys? Do you think Wendy is a bit over excited?" Mirajane asked
"Well Wendy always did get excited when she meets those who are healers" Carla added
"What really?" Lucy asked
"Yes, she likes meeting other people who heal"
"That's nice"

After a large amount of questions asked and a lot of talking Wendy calmed herself down.

"Sorry about asking you so many things, I'm Wendy by the way"

He just took another drink of his beer and as he did the others came to them.

"So may we ask you, your name?" Mirajane asked
"Trafalgar Law" he answered
"Well I'm Mirajane and you said you're new right?" Mirajane asked
"Yes"
"May I ask where?"

A small silence came between them until he spoke.

"Over seas" he answered calmly taking a sip from his beer
"Oh...."
"Hey umm....." Wendy said hesitantly
"Hmmm?"
"What kind of magic was that?"
"It's called ope ope or operation"
"That's amazing!" She said still excited

Law then got up and then began to leave.

"Where you going?" Wendy asked chasing after him
"I'm getting tired so I'm going to go find an inn" he said plainly
"Well you can stay here if you want!" Wendy said excitedly
"Let me just go ask the master"

She then ran off to go find her master and in the mean while Law waited for her to return.

"You have seem to made a new friend" A woman with short blue hair and an orange dress said

Law then turned to find her behind him waving.

"Hello I'm Levy" she said in a greeting manner

Law just stood there with his same blank expression.

"You don't smile much don't you?" She asked hesitantly

As they stood there a woman with red hair approached the two.

"So may we ask your name?"
"Trafalgar Law or Law for short" he answered with almost no emotion

The man puzzled Erza she couldn't make out what he was thinking he looked.....empty.

That's when Wendy came running back with a huge smile on her face.

"I asked the master he said that there is a spare bedroom you could use" she said excitedly
"Hmmm beats having to pay for one" he said shrugging

Wendy then lead him to the upper level where the spare bedroom was. As they got closer he opened the door to it all it had was the standard living requirements for a bedroom: a bed, a desk and a window.

"I know it's not much, but it's better than nothing" she said happily
"Thank you" he said calmly

She then left the room going to inform Makarov of his living arrangements. He then placed his sword next to his bed frame making it stand. He then heard a knock on the door. As he opened it up he saw a girl who looked like the bartender.

"Hello, Im Lisanna and welcome to our guild" she said with a smile
"Thank you" he replied
"Well anyway I just wanted to tell you that we're glad to have you here"
"I see"
"So anyway welcome and just ask if you need anything"

She then left he was very cautious about the whole situation, but was again too tired to care. He then took off his coat and laid-backon the bed which was very comfortable which suprised him. He then closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep.
