                 *********

The hot sun heated my already tanned face. I was on a hot island being served a virgin strawberry daiquiri. The cool liquid touched my lips and quenched my thirst. The sound of waves crashing on the shores was music to my ears. The radio beside my head changed its channel from calm soothing music into...a blaring beeping sound.

Before I knew it I was snapped back into reality. The noise was from my phone which was vibrating on my nightstand. I slapped my hand on the snooze button groaning childishly. I shut my eyes and tried to escape back into the comforting breeze and sunshine, but my dream had ended. My day had officially begun. I reached over to my phone to check if I had been sent any messages. Wattpad updates. Where Loyalties Lie by books_n_boots , A Different Kind of Bars by  Ricky_books, meant to be (s.m) by crazymendess and look surprise another Wattpad book update of All Your Little Things by MaddyxoxoxoTomlinson. I yawned and placed my phone back on the table and decided against my current objections to get out of bed. I looked around my organized room towards my calendar. Today was an extraordinary day. I smiled because I was expecting the usual tests and assignments due, but no today was the day our old crew would be reunited.

I suddenly got a bunch of energy and practically burst through my sister Lani 's door. "Lani! Guess what?" I said trying to figure out where she was in the large pile of covers on her bed. "Lani?" I called again. No response. I rushed towards the lump and pulled the covers back, to my expecting eye, there was a number of balls. No Lani. I marched back to my room and grabbed my cell clicking her name that was number one on my speed dial. Ring. Ring. Ring. With my phone still at my ear I marched over to her room where her phone vibrated and rang under a pile of dirty clothes. I pressed end and to please my organizing addiction grabbed all the clothes and packed them into the overflowing laundry hamper in the corner. Where is she this time? I looked down at my phone and it was later than I thought. I would have to cut curling my hair out of my schedule. I quickly got dressed in a pair of washed out blue jeans and a royal blue tee shirt and shoved my phone in my pocket. I grabbed my neon blue backpack and rushed down the stairs, to wolf down some breakfast before I had to go catch the bus.

"Good morning Adrienne!" My mom chirped from beneath her newspaper.

"Good morning, Mom!" I responded as I hurriedly opened the fridge door and grabbed some milk.

"Is Lani still sleeping?" She ask peering up for a minute before looking back down.

"Yes." I said bluntly, trying to hide my lies with my swift movement towards the cupboard.

"I should probably wake her, it is almost time for you both to leave for school." She reasoned. I hastily grabbed the bowl and set in on the counter. Then grabbed the cereal.

"You're right, I'll wake her." I said knowing I had to next say something that would give my mom a reasonable explanation, to why it would be better for me to enter her room and not her. "She asked me to wake her up later today, because she stayed up late studying for her English test on Hamlet." I lied knowing perfectly well that it was tomorrow. My hope was my mom didn't know.

" Isn't, that tomorrow?" She said confused. I poured the cereal in the bowl and then added the milk.

"It is tomorrow. She wanted to study last night because we are busy tonight with our reunion." I covered stuffing the cereal into my mouth.

" That makes sense. Be sure to wake her soon though." She said. I nodded because I wasn't one to talk with my mouth full. After shoving the cereal down my throat and slurping the remaining milk I ran upstairs to pretend to wake Lani.
