LOUIS // OCTOBER 2016
Song of the Chapter: Fear and Loathing by Marina and the DiamondsLouis laid in bed that night, confused out of his mind.
He had just agreed to be Harry's friend again, which was a good thing. It was something that he probably needed. But, it would work out better if he wasn't still in love with Harry Edward Styles.
And it would be okay that he was still in love with him if he didn't have extremely noticeable baggage. Beside his pregnancy, it was clear that whoever got him in his current health predicament had hurt him bad.
Louis grabbed his pillow, and cried into his pillow. It was so frustrating. Why did things have to work out this way? Why did Harry go and get himself pregnant? If this didn't happen, if Louis didn't leave, he could easily predicated that they would still be together to his day.
He decided that he was going to give his mum a call, seeing that he hadn't spoken to her since the night before he left and only sending her a quick text message when he landed in Doncaster. It was around one in the afternoon over there, meaning the girl were in school and Dan was at work.
The phone rang and rang, Louis was getting ready to leave a message when his mum answered, breathlessly, "Hello? Lou?"
"Hi, Mum. Is this a bad time?" he asked gently.
Jay sighed on the other side of the line and spoke, "No, of course not. What's up? Are you ready to come to San Diego yet?"
Louis frowned, rolling his eyes. "No, Mum... I just wanted to give you a call."
"Oh, well, that's okay too. How did your dinner with Anne and Gemma go, love?" Jay asked her oldest son as Louis heard one of the twins whine in the background.
"It went well. It was nice to see them after so long. Anne made pasta and their house looks the same, it was like walking back into time, you know? It was surreal being back," Louis said, thinking back to that memory of Harry and him on the couch again.
"Did you see him, Louis? I feel like you did," Jay almost accused. Once again, Louis rolled his eyes. When he announced that he was moving back to Doncaster, Jay made him promise that he wouldn't voluntarily see or spend time with Harry. She was scared that he would relapse, again.
Louis admitted it, knowing that she would find out one way or another, "Yeah... He showed up. But it was okay, Mum. He moved on..."
He left out the baby. He didn't need to tell his mother everything. But he didn't lie, Harry had moved on or he wouldn't be pregnant. He just needed to get his mum off his case.
"Oh... Oh, wow, Louis... Are you dealing with it okay? Do you need Dr. Morrison's number? She said to call her whenever you need to or feel overwhelmed. We all don't want you to go back, you've made such great process."
He knew his mum would be this concerned when he told her, that's why he completely excluded the fact that he was staying with him. She'd probably drop everything and come flying all across the Atlantic to bring Louis back under her wing and protect him at all costs.
"Mum, I'm okay. Don't you worry about a thing. I have Niall and Jade and they're helping me through it. They're all I need as of right now," Louis fibbed believably.
Louis got up from the bed and begun to gaze into the mirror behind the door. Ugh, he looked fat. He shouldn't have eaten that ice cream or that pizza. The thought to purge crossed his mind but than he heard his mother's voice.
"If you're sure, lovely. I want you to remember that I'm here too. I know that you think it would awkward or whatever to speak to your mother, but I want to help you too." Jay's voice was growing thick with emotion, signaling to Louis to quickly switch the subject.
