LOUIS // NOVEMBER 2016
Song of the Chapter: Remedy by Adele

Louis was sitting on the couch with Gemma. He had spent the past hour and half in worry for Harry and his baby. He knew that he cared deeply for Harry, but in this past month, Louis started to care for the baby as well. It was an extension of Harry and it wasn't the poor thing's fault for being a barrier between them.

Gemma was gabbing all about her new cat when Anne came in to announce that lunch was ready to eat. Harry was already seated on the barstool, eating four enchiladas. As good as they looked and smelled, Louis couldn't bring himself to eat. He just couldn't. He was really tired and wanted to take a nap.

"Love, would you like a plate?" Anne asked, smiling.

"I'm not very hungry, but thank you. It does smell delicious, I'll have leftovers."

All three pairs of eyes floated over to him, confused and questioning. Anne nodded and said, "I'll set a plate aside for you."

"Thank you, I'm gonna take a nap. Do you need anything, Haz?" Louis asked, trying to bite back a yawn and failing miserably. Louis saw Gemma glance at Anne from the corner of his eye, he wondered what that was about.

"No, I'm alright. Go nap, thanks for everything today," Harry murmured, smiling warmly at the boy.

Louis waved to everyone and went down to his room, crashing onto the bed. He snuggled into the pillow and sleep overcame him quickly.

He woke up sometime later to Harry sitting on the side of the bed, waking him with his hand on his shoulder. Louis stretch his limbs and asked mid-yawn, "Hey, what's up?"

"It's almost dinner time and I was wondering if you wanted me to make something for us," Harry asked, a soft expression on his face as he pushed back Louis's bed head.

Louis stiffened at the gesture, but nodded, "I can make something. You should be resting, and cooking isn't that."

"Eh, has your cooking gotten better with time?" Harry asked, crinkling his nose.

"Hey, I can make amazing pancakes. You just haven't tried them yet," Louis said, his hand touching Harry's belly mindlessly as he spoke. Harry stiffened at Louis's hand, but didn't stop him. This was only one of the few times he touched the pregnant boy's belly.

The baby kicked into his hand, Louis couldn't help but lean in and speak to her. "Hey, baby girl. Do you want pancakes? I make some mean ones, but your daddy doesn't seem to believe it."

"She twirls when you speak to her. I think she likes you," Harry whispered, his voice thick with emotion. Louis looked up, grinning at the soft and tear-filled expression.

"Do you like me, baby girl? I like you very much as well," Louis whispered into Harry's belly and pressed a little kiss to where the baby was kicking.

"After dinner, Lou, can we talk?" Harry asked, his voice suddenly serious.

Louis sat up and nodded, with a smile. "Sure, is something wrong?"

"Nothing's wrong, just some things I want to discuss."

"Alright," Louis nodded, grabbing his phone and seeing he had two text messages from Niall and a single text from Jade.
