LOUIS // DECEMBER 2016

{PLEASE READ THE AUTHOR'S NOTE AT THE END AND COMMENT! It's pretty important for me guys! Ily xx}

Olivia had been home for three days now. She and Harry came home the following day, Louis barely made it to the hospital in time after his class to take them home since they were discharged earlier than expected. But Louis did get there to take them home.

The first day home was easy, Anne and Gemma were there helping out. It was no big deal, until it was time for bedtime. Harry had bought a little bassinet to keep in the bedroom until she started sleeping through the night. Louis had a suspicion she wouldn't start sleeping through the night for a long time.

Olivia woke the boys up every hour either to be fed or to be changed. Louis was exhausted the next day, but was so Harry. He decided to let Harry sleep in after that first night and Louis took care of her. Olivia was fond of her Papa, Louis thought. She seemed to go to sleep faster in his arms rather than Harry's. Harry didn't wake up until almost eleven in the morning, he came shuffling in.

Louis was resting on the couch, Olivia passed out on his chest. Harry sat beside them, his hand running down the baby's back, "I'm sorry I slept so late."

"I let you sleep in, you needed some rest. Taking care of her wasn't difficult," Louis assured him.

"Hopefully, she sleeps better tonight," Harry sighed, kissing Olivia's head.

She didn't.

The next two nights she woke them up every hour and every morning, Louis let Harry sleep in. Louis was beyond tired, and he started sleeping whenever the baby did. It was the only time he would actually get any shuteye. When Harry came shuffling out around ten in the morning on morning three, Louis decided came up with a plan.

Harry went over to the coffee machine and brew himself a mug, after he was done he came over and sat down next to Louis. He said, "Thank you for taking her in the morning again."

"It's no problem, but we have to change things around. I'm barely sleeping and I think what needs to happen is that we take shifts at night, instead of us both doing everything together. We both need sleep to function and take care of her and you're the only one getting sleep."

Harry's eyes filled with tears, "I'm sorry. I didn't realize that you weren't sleeping. I just... My mind is just so clouded by how Olivia is feeling, I'm having a hard time thinking about your feelings."

"Hey, hey," Louis said, wiping the tears from Harry's eyes. "I didn't say that to make you feel bad, I said it because we do have to communicate. Or this relationship will go south quickly."

"I know that, but I should've paid attention to your feelings and if you had been sleeping."

"We're still learning on how to be parents, it's alright."

"Go to bed, you look absolutely tired. I can take care of her for a few hours," Harry said, carefully taking the sleeping baby from Louis's arms.

"Thank you," Louis said, kissing Harry on the lips. Louis collapsed on the bed, Winnie curling up next to him. He was instantly dead to the world.

Louis woke up around two in the afternoon and he changed out of his pajamas and into some actual clothes. When he came into the living room, Jesy and a man were there. Harry looked over and said, "How was your nap?"

"It was good, love," Louis said, smiling at his boyfriend. He kissed him on the cheek before turning to their guests. Jesy had Olivia in her arms, and the man had his arm around her. He said to Jesy, "Hi, how are you?"
