"No way!" gasped a highly confused Grace Van Pelt. "You gotta tell me, Jane! How'd ya do it?". The effortlessly handsome consultant smiled lazily, "Now, Grace we both know that would be ruining the fun for me!". There hadn't been a case in over three days and the team had been having a great time just doing what they felt like, unless someone outside of their unit was present of course. However they all had to admit it wouldn't have been as fun, if it hadn't been for Jane who constantly told stories, played mind games and teased them all gently about their personal lives.

The room once again filled with laughter as Jane correctly guessed her favourite music, her first kiss and much to the embarassment of Grace and the glee of Rigsby, the colour of her underwear. "Ok Jane, that's enough!" chastised Lisbon, when Rigsby started choking with laughter, spraying donut crumbs everywhere. Jane turned to her, his blue eyes gleaming with mischeif. There was only one thought running through Teresa Lisbon's head in that moment. Uh Oh..... "You're just scared I'll guess the colour of your underwear, Lisbon!" he teased her playfully. "Not that I would have to guess! We can all see them right now through those adorable little pants!". What? No, he's just playing you, Lisbon! Don't look down! she told herself firmly. But she had already started reaching down and she grabbed at the back of her pants, looking down to make sure that he was just joking. The room was heavy, filled with the stifled giggles and laughter threatening to spill out of her unit. She looked up very slowly, lips pressed in a thin line, eyes narrowed. "Uh Oh...." said Jane, beginning to back away slowly towards the door. He didn't even make it half way before Lisbon tore after him, brown folder raised to hit him, followed by an outburst of laughter from Van Pelt and Rigsby and a smirk from Cho.

"It's such a pity it couldn't have lasted longer! I was having such a nice time! I felt more relaxed than I had in ages!" complained Agent Grace Van Pelt, as she got into the black CBI van with Cho, slamming the door rather loudly as if to make a point. "It's California" Cho replied sceptically. "we're lucky they didn't commit a crime for ONE day!". They had arrived at their latest crime scene, a huge murky lake, surrounded in swampy marshland. "Ugh! My shoes!" omplained Van Pelt. "These were my best boots and now they're ten inches deep in mud!". "You wore your best boots to work because?" questions Cho, the left corner of his mouth twitching up ever so slightly because he knows that it is for the sake of his partner, Wayne Rigsby. "Shuddup!" Van Pelt grins sheepishly and punched Cho in the arm as she turned almost the same shade as her long glossy locks of hair.

On the other side of the lake, Lisbon and Jane hopped out of Jane's tiny blue car, bantering back and forth as usual. "I allow you to drive me around in this deathtrap of yours!" Lisbon retorts smiling, "Now if that's not trust I don't know what trust is!". Jane smiles cheekily at her, both hands tucked in his coat pockets as he rocked backwards and forwards on the balls of his feet. "Yup, I agree with you!" he says, bumping his shoulder to hers affectionately. "I ac- wait! Really?" she asks confused, for it is highly unlike Jane to just let her win like this. " I agree completely that you don't know what trust is!" he laughed, showing so many bright white teeth, Teresa was temporarily blinded. Lisbon pinched him on the arm, grinning as he winced. Jane picked up a muddy reed from banks of the marshland and waved it at her face. "Very mature, Jane!" she cries as she dodges the reed. "Meh! You're still scared of it!" he observes jabbing her stomach softly. "No! as a matter of fact I am not scared! It's just that we have a case to attend to!" Teresa lies. "You're just afraid I'll win!". he taunts. A small smile spread over Lisbons face at the challenge. "Oh we'll see about that, won't we, Jane?".

Cho and Van Pelt stood watching the senior members of their unit poke and rib each other, fondly with small smiles playing at their lips. Around Jane, Lisbon was so much happier, free, childish almost. They were happy for her. Boss deserved this. After a few more moments of watching Jane and Lisbon, play fight with reeds they took matters into their own hands and began questioning the witnesses. "So tell us exactly what you saw and heard last night, Mr Evans." Grace tells the tall, balding man in his 50's. "Try not to leave out anything, include even the small things, like what you smelt or how the temperature was". Mr Evans tries to concentrate and remember everything but is repeatedly distracted by a young couple on the opposite bank of the river, as they dance around each other, poking and jabbing with muddy reeds. Cho steps in front of them, blocking them from view. "yes?" he aks in his serious, collected voice.
