Thank you alexia for reading and voting! It really means so much to me!

For a long time Jane just stared at her, trying to make sense of the mush his normally sharp thought process had turned to. He had forgotten how to breathe! How did you do it? Oh, yes! In and out! But the more Jane tried to calm himself the more he was enthralled by how beautiful she was. She made his heart ache with how breath-taking she looked. The dress clung to her dainty figure attractively, as it curved over her breasts, inward at her waist and fell gracefully around her legs. The dress gleamed as she walked though the door but still couldn't hope to compete with her glowing eyes. But the dress was the last thing on Jane's mind as he watched his princess walk in. Because when she did the room literally fell silent.

Ninety percent of the male population watched her slim figure in awe and lust as she glided in, their eyes lingering particularly along her milk white throat and cleavage and long, lean legs and the other already married/taken watched eagerly, much to the distress of their women. Patrick bristled, as he saw a young twenty something agent, clear his throat, preparing to go ask his Teresa if she would like a drink no doubt. There was no way in hell that was about to happen! He picked up Cho's untouched glass of champagne and loped casually across the hall to where she stood, looking rather shy and lost. As she saw him, her gorgeous face illuminated into a smile so pretty, he nearly stopped breathing again. Her gaze flicked over him and he smirked slightly at the approval that was clear in her eyes. When they reached each other, they did not speak for a long time, too immersed in the others eyes. The moment intensified but Lisbon pulled out of it before things could get too intimate.

"Hello, Jane" she told him shyly. He did not wish her back but instead handed her the glass of champagne and offered her his arm. She took it, blushing delicately as he had predicted. He could practically hear the groans of disappointment from the many hopeful males at the ball and his handsome face broke into that all too familiar grin that Teresa Lisbon so loved. "Hey, what's so funny?" she asked him, nudging against his arm. He leaned in close to her, relishing the eyes of the repulsive men who had wanted HIS Lisbon on them, "I'm making a lot of men jealous right now, especially that one, in the white suit!" he whispered to her. She looked around not so discreetly in the direction he pointed. "Oh my god, Jane!" she cried laughing. "It's the mailroom guy!". "You still think he's hot?" asked Jane looking rather worried. Lisbon didn't reply instead sipped her champagne delicately, very much enjoying teasing him.

They walked across to the middle of the hall to where their table was situated and seated themselves with Cho (who looked as if he would be reading if it were deemed appropriate to read at such occasions) and Rigsby, whose eyes were glued unswervingly to Van Pelt and her mystery partner as they twirled effortlessy across the room, looking more like Gingers Rogers and Fred Astaire than two rookies. Finally Van Pelt broke away from the mystery rookie, who whispered something in her ear making her blush crimson. Rigsby's face at that moment could only be described as priceless. She made her way over to them and seated herself meekly, avoiding Rigby's gaze. "So Grace" he asked in a tone that was obviously meant to be casual. "Who's that?".

Jane, Lisbon and Cho looked into their laps, not knowing whether to smile or cringe at the expense of shame for their team mate. "Oh, you know! Just someone, isn't he fantastic? We're grabbing lunch tomorrow!" she said, her casual tone much more believable than his. "Oh! ok... He seems to have a rather stupid face if you ask me, but you know to each their own, I suppose!" muttered Rigsby. Van Pelt's face flamed. "Why can't you just be happy for me, huh? This is how things are supposed to be!". "Yeah...ummmm...So, I'm just gonna go...." Cho mumbled, edging away slowly to escape the tremendously awkward and heated conversation he could sense approaching. He might not talk as much as his teammates but he knew how to predict these things! Jane felt it too, but his reaction was very different to Cho's. A large boyish smile spread over his face as he waited eagerly for the drama to begin. Lisbon watched his face light up in her favourite smile and she had to laugh as he whispered frantically to her, "Hey Lisbon, you got any popcorn? We're approaching the climax!".
