Owen's POV
hSean had called me earlier. He had seemed frantic and disconnected. He was begging me to hurry over, saying that he needed to talk to me. I pulled into the parking lot, slammed my door shut, and ran up towards his home."Sean!" I call out, as I rush inside. He turned towards me, and I gave him a quick once over. My face settles into a look of utter and complete confusion. He seems fine. "What the hell is going on?" I asked, raising my voice and cursing for once. It was a rarity for me, but I didn't understand anything that was going on right now.
"Come over here. Sit down," he replied, ushering me over to the couch. With a click of the remote, he turned on the TV. It flicked over to some talk show, with two young ladies around our age. One had short blonde hair and piercing blue eyes. The other had a darker complexion, with near black wavy hair, and grey-blue eyes.
"What is this?" I question him warily, turning my attention away from the two women on the screen.
"Just watch," He responded, gesturing towards the TV impatiently.
I turn back towards the screen to continue watching. The two women's names are Audrey and Chelsy apparently. Audrey is the darker haired one, Chelsy is the blonde. They're joking and laughing while answering questions from viewers. They bounce off each other with ease and it's clear they've been friends for quite some time. They have wonderful chemistry together. I continue to observe them and their show for a few moments before turning back to Sean. I raise my eyebrows in a questioning expression, and he smirks.
"They live here." I almost do a double take, as he stares back smugly. That had actually caught me by surprise.
I have to swallow to clear my throat, before replying, "They live here? In this complex?"
"Yes," He answered. "So, two cute girls that live near me. . . who have a talk show. . . How about we binge watch all their videos?
My mouth visibly drops open. "No Sean! That's creepy!"
"Is not!" He shouted back childishly. I look over at him, dumbfounded.
"Come on Owen! They put this out for anyone to see!"
I have to admit his logic is pretty sound, so I reluctantly agree. We flick over to their channel, and as we do I note the number of subscribers they have. They have a couple million, and I'm sure the number will only climb higher. A video titled "One night stands" catches my attention, and it clearly catches Sean's as well. He quickly rushes to click on it before I can catch him, and tell him not to. As soon as the video turns on, both girls shout "One night stands!" The conversation quickly turns to how they feel about them. Audrey seems fairly comfortable with the idea while Chelsy seems completely against it.
The videos were fairly funny, although they had a rather odd number of sexual jokes in them, at least considering the fact they were two teenage girls. As we went through the videos it became strikingly clear that the girls were polar opposites. Audrey was. . . for lack of a better word, crazy. She was off the chain, loved to have fun, go to parties, and get drunk. Chelsy was more reserved. She preferred her home to anywhere else, didn't like sex; which seemed to frighten Sean, and didn't drink. It apparently made her feel sick.
The girls were different in almost every way, including sexuality. Chelsy was straight as a line while Audrey was in her words "Gay as f*ck." Very crudely put, but it got the point across I suppose.
"So. . . " Sean said, trailing off. "You want to go meet them?" He asked, waggling his eyebrows. I stared back at him, appalled.
"Of course not!"
"Why?"
"For one thing, it's three in the morning. We can't go over to their house this early. Scratch that, we can't go over to their house at all!" I try to explain, listing off reasons as to why we couldn't.
"Fine," He snapped in annoyance. He settled back onto the couch, crossing his arms over his chest. "Now you get to watch all the rest of their videos with me."
I sighed and settled back next to him. It was going to be a long night.
