Chapter Eighteen

Eighteen AM

"Kath, where you goin?" Tanong sakin ni Julia. I almost forgot na halos palayasin na ako ng mga girls ng makauwi kami kagabi ng 11:30 pm.

"Nothing. Roaming around?" I lied. Today, we'll going to kuya Jade's office.

"Your nose is red." Ugh. This is why I hate myself. Everytime na mag lilie ako nag rered yung tip ng nose ko.

"Is it? But I'm not lying." I rolled my eyes. Nakita ko naman bumaba sila Aria, Mandy, Chassy.

"Kathy, yes you are." Sabi ni Mandy. Wala na ba akong takas sa mga ito.

"Guys, chill. I'll just go for jog." I lied again. They rolled their eyes.

"Kathryn, you'll go for jog na ganyan ang suot mo? Seriously?" Aria Asked.

What now? Should I tell them what happened yesterday? For sure lagot ako sa mga ito. They overreacting kapag sakin ang topic dahil alam nila strict ang parents ko and they'll probably get involve to this.

"What's wrong with the high-waisted short? and the hanging shirt and sneakers?" Oh yea. Kelangan ba pagnag jojog naka long gown?

"Bahala ka na." And they're gone. Woooh!

Umalis na ako agad agad bago interviewin nila ako. I texted this Padilla to fetch me here in our Clubhouse.

"Hi gorgeous." I flashed a smile. Bigla ko naman nakita na dumungaw din si Toby.

"Tooooby!" I said and pumasok sa loob at kinandong si Toby.

"Nakakaselos naman si Toby pa nauna igreet." He said with sarcasm.

Kinurot ko naman ang ilong n'ya "Aba, di talaga naalis yang pangungurot mo sa ilong ko ah? Hey, ikaw bumait ka na sakin and you're not so conyo na ah." With tone ng voice ko.

Hinampas ko naman siya. "Shut up." And I rolled my eyes.

"Hey, we won." He said.

"Alam ko from the very start." And I chuckled. Of course we will joke.

"Wow, there you self-confidence." And he smirked.

"Hey, alam mo ba kung san tayo pupunta?" I asked. Alam n'ya ba ang office ni Kuya Jade?

"Yeah I do." What the hell? How?

"Don't me ask how princess. Of course, I'm prepared." And he winks.

"Shut up. Courting ka pa d'yan diba we have a deal na if there's a dino na marunong mag twerk you'll court me eventually?" Aha! I just remembered it last night.

"So do you really want to see the twerking dino?" He smirked.

"Of course." Well it's nothing lang naman. I just want to see his reaction.

"Okay, you'll see the twerking dino." I laughed as if naman na magkakaroon.

"We're here." Totoo nga na alam niya kung saan ang office ni kuya Jade.

Nag park na s'ya at pinagbuksan ako ng pinto. "Hey, are you afraid?" He smiled.

"Little bit? This is my first time so you can't blame me." There you go, tama nga yung P5.

"Oh." I'm speechless. Pumasok na kami sa lobby at sinalubong ng isang naka unipormeng empleyada.

"Hello, sir and ma'am! What can I do for you?" Sobrang ngiti naman nitong babae ito. Porket nakakita lang ng lalaking mala adonis?

"Ate I'm the cousin of Jade Bernardo. My name is Kathryn Bernardo, here's my ID." Tinignan naman n'ya at pumunta sa telepono. This ass di parin ba n'ya kami papatuluyin.

"Okay na po ma'am, natawag ko na po kay Sir Jade pa deretso nalang po kayo sa 29th floor." She smiled to Padilla. Well, this ass.

Sinamaan ko naman s'ya ng tingin at parang napansin naman n'ya "Bakit po na ma'am?"

"Wala. Look at yourself hindi pantay yang kilay mo." And I walked away.

Hinila naman ang kamay ko ni Padilla "What?" Pagmamataray ko rito.

"Hey, why are you like this?" I raised my eyebrows, well pantay yan.

"The what? Totoo naman di pantay kilay n'ya eh." Bumukas na ang elevator, pumasok na kami at pinindot ang 29th floor.

"Chandria, tell me are you jealous?" Uminit naman ang mukha ko at mabuti kaunti lang kami dito sa loob.

"Excuse me, Mr. Padilla?" I used my death glare.  He raised his two hands na sign for defeat.

Maya maya ay andito na kami sa 29th floor kung saan ang office lang ni kuya Jade ang andito. Bago kami makapasok may sumalubong nanaman saamin na empleyado.

"Bernardo." I just said and viola pinagbuksan na kami.

I knocked twice bago nag sabihin ni kuya na pumasok na kami. Bago kami pumasok inofferan ko muna 'tong si Padilla ng handkerchief.

"Oh, ayan. Baka mamaya mahimatay ka." I chuckled. Namula naman siya.

"You know I'm not into this but because of you I'll get through of this." And he cupped my face. Is he loves me? Wala naman siya inaamin na he loves me.

"Chandria." I froze. This can't be bibinggo na talaga ako kay kuya Jade.

"You two come in and sit." Umupo na kami na magkahiwalay, nasa kabilang stool kasi si Padilla.

"What's your name, Mr?" He asked. Padilla stood up na parang grade one na nagpapakilala. Jusko whyyy?

Napa face palm naman ako. "Ako si Daniel Padilla." And inilahad niya ang kaniyang kamay. Hindi naman ito tinaggap ni kuya Jade kaya umupo nalang ito.

"Ano pakay mo kay, Chandria?" He said.

"I like her, I know it's too fast for me to like her. I never been In love, I had an infatuation but it's not like this." Omg akala ba nila wala ako dito.

"So you want to court her?" Napasandal naman si kuya Jade.

"Yes." Napahawak naman si Kuya Jade sa sintido niya.

"This can't be." I almost died. What why?

"Pardon?" Sabi naman ni Padilla.

"She can't, she really can't. Chandria, alam ba 'to ng parents mo? Pinayagan ka ng parents mo na tumira with your friends and what if nalaman ka nila na pumupunta sa malayong lugar with this guy? They doesn't know about this guy, Chandria. The worst is he's courting you illegally!" Tumayo na si kuya Jade. So I'm expecting this.

"Sir, due to all my respect but I can assure you na you're cousin is safe with me." Tumayo narin si Daniel.

"Daniel." I just said

"No. Hindi ikaw ang nararapat kay Chandria. She's too young and her parent's should decide who's the right man for him. Maiintindihan mo rin 'to Chandria when you already eighteen." Hindi ko maintindihan. Ano naman? He's just courting me. Anong right man? I'm so confused.
