Why Do I Love You? {Sequel to IHEAY}

Chapter 6

Using Gallade, I teleported back to the castle. I was right outside in the cave where the castle was hidden. I was too frustrated to go in and talk to N, who was probably being a worry-wart about me just running into a situation without thinking...again. 

I couldn't get her out of my mind. Them out of my head. Lyra and Silver. She just thinks she can come over and interrupt our conversation!? And she had the nerve to kiss him and act like I wasn't there! I screamed, kicking a rock over the ledge, watching it fall into darkness. I continued to vent my anger, pacing back and forth, kicking more rocks all over the place. I was too busy throwing a temper tantrum to notice N behind me.

"What happened this time?" He asked calmly, startling me. 

I sighed, turning around. "Nothing, can't you see I'm doing just fine?" I replied, starting to walk back in the castle, hands shoved into my pockets. 

The green haired trainer followed, concern showing clearly on his face. "Please just tell me; you'll feel better and I might be able to help."

"You wouldn't understand." I mumbled, sitting down on one of the fallen pillars. He sat besides me, holding one of my hands with both of his. 

"We can go out for ice cream if you tell me..." He bribed. 

"...Castelia?"

He nodded, smiling. He knew that I loved the ice cream they had there. Giving in, I sighed again. "Its Silver...and his girlfriend." 

"What's wrong?"

"Me and Silver were just talking and it was nice and all I guess, but then she just comes over, acts like I'm not there, and kisses him right in front of me! It wasn't even on the cheek like the first time, it was on the lips! And he was kissing back!" 

"Didn't you say that they're together?"

"Well yeah, but-"

He interrupted me before I finished. "I may not know much on human relationships, but isn't that normal for couples? Kissing I mean."

"I know, but right in front of me?!"

"I think you're just jealous."

"Like I said before, I am not jealous!" I screamed, standing up. 

"Like you said before...?" N questioned. "I don't remem-"

I sighed angerly. "Silver said the same thing. I am not jealous! I'm perfectly fine without him!"

N just stared blankly. "I'm pretty sure this," He said, gesturing to me, "is not 'perfectly fine.'"

"I just....He is...They..." I stuttered multiple times, before groaning and sitting back down, face in my hands. 

"I guess you just need to move on...besides, shouldn't you be happy if he is?" 

"Silver's never happy." I mumbled, face still in my hands. 

N sighed. I must be making this frustrating. "Forget that." 

I took my hands away from my face. "Like you said, I need to move on. Find some other guy I can be with..." 

"Do you feel better now?" He asked. 

I shrugged. "Ice cream would make me feel much better." 

N chuckled. "Yes, of course." He stood up, holding his hand out for me. I smiled, taking his hand and he pulled me up. We walked out, taking Dragonite to the city.

"Now are you happy?" N asked, eating his ice cream as we sat next to each other on the bench.
