Sentimental Tragedy

The sound of a ring. You look at your phone happily. But it wasn't Kuroko. "Hello?"

"[Last Name]? Where are you?" It was the rainbow senpai, also known as Nijimura.

"I'm waiting for someone." You answer.

"How close you are to my father's hospital?" You couldn't tell if he sound like he was calm. His voice had sound a little shaky.

"Close. Did something happened?" You were also trying to keep yourself calm. Hopefully, it wasn't an emergency.

"No. It's just... Well..." He was silent for a moment. You didn't wanted to respond because it must of been uneasy to say. It didn't sound at all like good news either. "Your friend, Kuroko--I think his name was. I think I just saw him now heading to the ER. It was in the corner of my vision so I don't know if-"

Beep.

You quickly ran to the hospital. What happened? The feeling was getting more riled up. Sweat had started to fall on the body. Your mind became unstable and that you could accidentally trip.

When you got to the hospital, you ask to check the patient's name. His name was really there. You called Nijimura to ask where he was. "Senpai, where-?"

"I'm coming to you now." As soon as Nijimura appeared in your eyes, you ran up to him.

"Where's Kuroko-kun? Is he alright?"

"I don't know. Calm down. It will be alright." Though, Nijimura wasn't so sure. There was a lot of blood on that guy. I can't tell [Last Name] that. She'll..

"What happened?" You held onto Nijimura's arm tightly. He hugs you to calm you down. He needed you to be relax. "It will be alright."

You guys slowly walk in front of the entrance to Kuroko's room and sat down on a bench. A nurse walks up to you. Her eyebrows furrowed. The nurse looks worried, painful as if she is unable to explain how to tell two teens the bad news. Somehow, Nijimura didn't like the way things are go. But he wasn't the only one.

"Are you here for Kuroko-san?" The two of you nod. She step to the left, holding her hand out, "You can come in."

You slowly walk inside. Sweat was all over Kuroko. His breathing was quite heavy. You could tell he was in immense pain. The doctor's hand and sheets were very bloody. Very. "Doctor... Will he be alright?"

"He lost too much blood." Before he could say anything, you stop and cut his sentence.

"Why did this have to happen to him? How did this happen to him?"

"He was trying to rescue a child. In the result of doing so, two bullets were struck on his leg and near his heart. He..." the doctor sigh while closing his eyes, "...might not have any more time left."

Your eyes widen, looking at Kuroko, scared. You walk to Kuroko. "Why? Kuroko-kun, open your eyes! Tell me it will be alright." A hand comes near you, cupping your cheek. His thumb wiping the tears.
