Generations of Confessions

You continue to gasp for air. It was already night time and Sakurai was no longer in bed. The bed was all for yourself.

Tears flew out of your eyes. Your hand wipes your right eye filled with droplets. You close them, laying down would help ease you. I don't want to go back to sleep.

A hand touches you on the head. Someone was ruffling the hair that flew through their fingers. You turn around to see who the hand belonged to. "Izuki-kun."

"Have a bad dream?"

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to be so emotional." you wipe your tears. You smile, giving him a hug. "Hi, Izuki. How have you been?"

"Once a pun a time.."

"Get out of here." you laugh.

"Please don't shun Izuki!" the two of you both laugh, "I'm sorry it took me this long for me to come. I heard you haven't been well. Sorry that I couldn't come sooner. I'm glad I made you laugh."

"I see that you're still the punniest person I ever met."

"Don't make pun of me!" He then added, "Well, yeah. You're right. I am the most punniest person ever."

"So really. How you've been?"

"I stepped on a cheerio this morning... Does that make me a cereal killer?" He winks. "I've been doing great. I made a pun even in this time of stress."

"Cerealously?" he smiles at your joke.

"One more, please?" You didn't say anything but instead raise your eyebrow. "Guess who's my favorite Disney character?"

"Who?"

"Rapunzel." You hit him, gently. You smiled. "Why am I being punished?! It's not ill-eagle to make puns!"

"Rip, your puns." The two of you continued to chat and make jokes. You were depressed but for a while Izuki had spread that happiness to you like he usually would.

"It's been three long years. What have you been up to?"

"My boyfriend died recently." You look down, feeling terrible to having to admit it. Izuki hugs you.

"There, there." He said. His eyes were half-lidded, wondering if he should tell you the actual reason why he's here. "Oh. Did you see the KAPPA TV show?"

"Kappa?"

"You haven't?" Izuki smiles. "I know what might cheer you up."

He takes you to the living room and sat down on the couch. "It aired yesterday but they are airing it again since irs... I forgot out but let's watch."
