Chapter 10 - Ferris Wheel

I didn't think that would happen at all. I think to myself as soon as Hunter stands up and goes to the bathroom

"Why did you go to the bathroom?" I shout through the door

"You wouldn't want to know Princess" and I hear the shower turn on

I almost gave my first kiss to Hunter! That would have been such a shame. Right when he was really nice to me, something just had to ruin it. Way to go Candace.

While waiting for Hunter to finish, I was thinking of way to prank him when I felt the blow horn Sarah gave me earlier in my pocket. Hopefully I can use this right now. Knowing that Hunter usually just slams the door open making sure that the door touches the wall on the other side, I thought of sticking the blow horn on the handle so when he opens the door, it would go off. And that's what I did.

It was really quiet after and went down to the living room. I was secretly waiting for Hunter to finish showering so I could prepare myself for the sound of the blow horn. After a few minutes, it went off.

"Candace! What did you do?!" I hear Hunter shout from upstairs. I didn't say anything back.

"Candace where in the world are you?!" I hear his footsteps on the stairs

I was casually sitting in the sofa trying to maintain a straight face when he went up to me holding the blow horn

"What is this?" he says holding it up. Did I mention he's in his towel again?

"It's 3 - 2 now" I simply said

"Well, I can easily get you back for this. Wait till you find out what I have in store for you" he angrily stomps up the stairs. Ha! That's what you get bastard! I laugh to myself.

After what happened, I thought about the 'almost kiss' we shared. Good thing I thought of giving a good prank and now it's forgotten. I now went back up to Hunter's room, ready for bed.

He wouldn't throw a prank on me at this hour, wouldn't he?

As I got to his room, I saw him on his bed. Fast asleep. How long have I been down though? I look at the clock and saw that it was already 1 in the morning. Now I understand why.

I slowly crawled up in bed beside Hunter and I drifted off to sleep.

In the next few days, I didn't get any pranks and Hunter hasn't gotten anything either from me. The plastic wrap on my window is still there. Hunter still hasn't barged in through my room. I heard he had his exams this week and that he was trying to study really hard. I've heard a few words from him here and there but other than a little teasing and greetings, that was all I got from him. The bad boy really does study, he deserves the good grades.

James is finally back and apparently, over those two business days, Alyssa and him are already dating. That's good for him, he's already old, he needs someone for him. Plus, Alyssa isn't such of a bother right now. She's nice but really shy for her type.

"Hey Candace, you have a visitor" James shouts through the door

"Who is it?" I walk to the door. It's not even the afternoon yet.

I open the door to see Dylan dressed in a polo shirt and khaki pants.

"Hey Candace, mind if we hang out?" Dylan smiles

"Just give me 5 minutes, I'll be down in a while" I smile

I bet I look like a mess right now. Dylan's probably laughing at my appearance right now. I thought to myself.
