I was in my room just chilling in my room like any other night and listening to music when I got a text from Wes. "Hey Gabi get ready and I will be by to pick you up here in an hour." Seeing how it was only 5:00 I sent back a quick text and than got up to get a shower and get ready. Seeming how Wes was my best friend I wondered what he had planned this time. "Hey Wes what should I wear?" I said quickly receiving a text back saying something dressy. I went to my closet and picked out Wes' favorite dress you see the thing is I like Wes more than a friend and I am scared to tell him afraid of rejection. When I was ready sure enough Wes pulled up in his car and came to the door and got me kissing me cheek and led me to his and opened the door for me. "Okay Gabi before you even ask you will find out where we are going when we get there. So sit your pretty butt back and relax and jam out to music." Wes said knowing me so well and received a middle finger from me knowing I was not happy. "Fine but you can't complain about the songs I pick the whole night." I said knowing he hated when I did this. When we got to the restaurant it was breathtaking and when Wes opened the door for me and told the guy his name he had his hand on my back the whole time even when were lead to our table. "So what do you think of it Gabi?" Wes said hopefully "I will tell you this much Wes it surely is beautiful in here and I love it and you." I said before I could stop myself and will Wes looking like a deer in the head lights at the new information I got up and ran out of the restaurant and down the street. "Gabi wait!" Wes said yelling behind me trying to catch up to me and when he did I had tears streaming down my face feeling so stupid. "Hey no don't cry Gabi please don't. Also before you even say I am just saying this because I am your best friend is not correct. I love you to Gabi I invited you out tonight to tell you." Wes said pulling me closer well leaving me speechless thinking of all the times now understanding he was trying to drop hints rethink all the times we went out or just hung out. "Do you promise me you aren't lying about this and your not just trying to cheer me up?" I asked. "Are you serious Gabi I would never lie to you unless it was to protect you and than I would double take before I lied." Wes said leaning in closer to my lips and just on cue rain started to pour just before our lips met with me meeting him halfway. When we pulled apart reluctantly because we ran out of breathe I just grinned along side Wes just taking this moment in. "How about we forget this whole date and head back to yours to clean up and just watch one of your favorite movies okay?" Wes asked "Oh and one more thing. Gabi will you be my girlfriend?" Wes asked "Yes Wes I would be honored and you don't know how long I have waited for this moment." I said laughing before pulling him for a kiss before we headed to his car hand in hand.
