I ACCIDENTALLY DELETED IT! sorry... I think I'll take this as a sign that it wasn't very good

"Just us!" Arriane yelled as I thundered down the stairs, seeing them all spread out over the room, it was always like a party when they visited. Arriane perched on the coffee table, facing the stairs and waving like a mad person.

"Rora, Roary, Auro- rora!

"Woah!" I held my hands out to grab her held out ones, moving them in attempt at a half hearted dance move.

"Why are you always so loud?" I whisper, trying to calm her beautiful insanity just a little bit, for the sake of everyone later on.

"I'm not loud, I'm weird there's a big difference," She shouted in my face, grinning before she calmed. Letting go of each other I looked around, Jace hadn't come down yet and I wondered why but the onslaught of hellos and how are yous battered me -but in a good way- it definitely made me feel better. I liked having everyone around me, the whole family, people you knew who you were, how you came to be and accepted it. I didn't have to pretend, I wasn't in school anymore.

Cam winked at me from where he sat in the deep corner of the couch, comfortably nestled into a pile of fluffy cushions and one old fashioned one that used to belong to my grandmother in Savannah. I went over to him, smiling with fondness.

"Back again," I said, it must have been only two hours or so since he was here last, looking at the clock that hung over the grey stone fireplace it was only eight o'clock.

"Back again," He repeated, "Tired of me already," He sat up taller in the cushions to make room for me under his arm, I fit there snugly. As I settled in he held his glass out to me, a tall purple flute of champagne.

"What are we celebrating?" I ask, taking it from him, his eyes flickered for a little bit like he was shaking himself from a dream.

"Quick before Daniel comes back," He whispered into my ear, his breath hot and tinged with alcohol. I looked around, he's gone upstairs, but he's fast. I fit the rim to my mouth through my smile.

"HEY!" Dad shouts, his leg hovering over the next step, "What is that! Cam what are you feeding my daughter?" He sounded mad, but his happiness took the edge off it.

"It's coke I swear," Cam holds his hands up, a face of innocence.

I laugh, knocking back a single burning sip, I didn't even like alcohol. But it was an adult thing, and that was what I -almost- was.

Dad nodded, his violet eyes squinting accusingly, he completed his step and went upstairs.

I was quiet, listening to what he was saying over the sound of the classic jazz music that played over the room.

"Why don't you come downstairs?" Dad asked, his soft tone echoing through the floors.

I didn't think I heard Jace say anything, or if he didn't he whispered it because he didn't come downstairs.

Dad jogged down, plopping down next to me with a sigh, stretching his arm behind the couch.

He smiled at me but looked at Cam.

"Did you tell her yet?" They talked about me like I wasn't in the room.

"No, tell me what?" I frowned, nervous energy building in my chest.

"It's about school, here. Arriane will tell you all about it," Cam said, pulling Arriane comically into his place as he got up and rushed off. The move made my stomach knot.
