Chapter 3

I woke up and ate breakfast. I called the studio. "Hey Miss Simpson! It's been a long time".

"Hey! Yeah it's been awhile. Umm..."

They interrupted," Sure thing. Ummm, okay. The next free time is Thursday."

"Thursday? Wow. That's strange."

"Yeah I'm sorry. Cody Simpson is coming to finish recording an album of his".

My breath stopped. Cody? Why didn't he tell me? That little jerk.

"Miss Simpson?"

"Oh yeah! Thursday will work out great".

I hung up. What the heck? Why wouldn't he tell me? I don't know. But I'm sure as heck gonna get on him about that. But I also was so excited to see him. I hadn't seen him in.... Four years. Wow. That's weird. I feel so old.

Wait, that would mean that I met Charlie three years ago. Oh my gosh.

Anyway, I thought about something else before my thoughts focused too much on him.

I called Gigi.

"Hey Al! What's on your mind?"

"Did you know that Cody was coming back?"

"Wait, did you not know?"

"No, I didn't" I said.

"Well yeah, he is" she answered.

"Why didn't he tell me?"

"Maybe he wanted to surprise you".

"Gi, don't you think he's rather surprise his girlfriend than his sister".

She paused," I guess.... Alli, don't worry. You aren't worried, are you?"

"No. Just a little confused. Is every guy in my life ignoring me?" I said sarcastically.

She laughed." Alli, don't worry. He was probably too busy.......Hey, we should get together. When are you not busy?"

"Umm I work tonight and tomorrow. Tuesday and Wednesday?"

"Yeah. That sounds good".

"By the way Gi, when is he coming?"

"He's on the flight now. He should be here tonight".

"Okay thanks".

We talked for a little bit and then she had to go.

I thought about she said about Cody. I doubted he was ignoring me. He probably got busy and assumed he'd already told me. But I didn't blame him. I trusted him just as much as I trusted Gigi.

He had always been there for me too, though mostly at a distance. I mean, he bought me my house and paid for it monthly. Nothing says," Im there for you". Like that.

I know, I shouldn't make him do that. So many times I told him to stop paying for it, but we'd get in a huge argument and he'd always win.

Anyway, I made I my mind to call him in the morning.

I called up one of my girl friends and we met up at the mall.

"Hey Alli! I haven't seen you in forever! I actually didn't think you were around". She said, hugging me.

"Why not?" I said, confused.

She paused and thought of something. It took her a while to respond," Umm... Well you know. I haven't heard from you in a while".
