She stared at me in disbelief.

I sighed. "I don't know Gigi. But I'll figure out. Trust me."

"Trust you? Come on, Alli. You know I've always trusted you, but now I'm not so sure."

I was hurt by her words. I walked out the door. I wanted her to understand my decision, but I hadn't quite understood it yet.

I went to the only place I could think of. Hayden's apartment. Even though I knew right then that it was wrong and a big mistake.

I knocked on the door and he came out. He hugged me tight. I stayed for a while before I knew it was time to go back to Gigi. But I couldn't face her. So I stayed the night. I know, I was an idiot. But I felt so lost and empty. I fell asleep on the couch eventually.

I woke up and I heard him on the phone. When he heard me get up, he hung up. He walked over to me. He looked deep into my eyes.

"Alli, I know you're still hurting. But I need you in my life again. I've missed you so much. Will you be mine again?"

I felt so lost. So I said yes. I knew I loved him, and I was broken. But I also knew that I didn't love him like I loved Charlie. But I wasn't about to let myself go there.

I knew how bad this would hurt him, but I didn't want to care, even though I did. Hayden and I spent the whole day together. I decided it was time to go back to Gigi.

"Alli, what the heck? Where were you? I was so worried", she said as I walked in.

I didn't want to tell her. I knew she would flip out. I paused for a long time. She noticed.

"Alli," she said in a serious voice," What happened? Where were you?"

"I was with Hayden", I said quietly.

Her face dropped. She grabbed me.

"Alli! Why are you doing this?!? Are you trying to ruin your life?!? You were so happy!!!"

"Hayden and I are back together", I said.

"What?!? I can't even...... Alli, I can't even believe you right now!!! You're right, you didn't deserve Charlie. He's lucky you left. You couldn't stand the fact that your boyfriend loved you and cared more about you than his own life!"

"Gigi, I don't know what else I'm supposed to do!"

"So you go and act like an idiot? Here's what you're supposed to do: you're supposed to go back to Charlie and beg for forgiveness. We both know he will take you back."

I shook my head. "I can't go back. I won't. Only as a friend".

"Fine then, go as a friend. Be stupid. Throw away a fantasy come true."

"Gi..."

"No Alli! I don't want to hear you're stupid excuses! Just leave! Go live with the love of your life!"

I wanted to talk to her, but I knew she wouldn't listen. So I grabbed my things and went to the nearest hotel. I wasn't going to stay with Hayden. I just couldn't.

I didn't know how long I was going to stay there, but I didn't care. I went to visit Hayden.
