Chapter 13

Laurel's Prov

I stare right into his emerald green eyes and he walked toward us. 'I'm going to get us out of here. But I'm going to nee you to trust me, OK' he telepathically said, 'fine but one mess up and I'm throwing you off this planet'

'OK' was all he said. "So Loki what brings you to my home?" Thanos asked, looking questionably at him. "I came to retrieve what is mine" he said, pointing at us. We looked between Thanos an Loki seeing that they started arguing.

I sat down on a rock, knowing that this is going to take forever. I looked over at Maddy to see her staring off into space. I wonder what she's thinking........

Maddy's Prov

I was staring off thinking about what Thanos and what Laurel said. Did my mother really move on or is she still sitting mourning over me?

I mean I want her happy and if that means her creating a new family then so be it. I looked up to see Loki an Thanos in a full out fight. They were throwing what look like balls of energy at each other.

I then realized that they were little balls of teseract power. I saw one flying towards Laurel but before I could stop it, it reached her heart.

Elody's Prov

I saw the ball of energy fly past me towards Laurel. I jump to block it but I missed and it hit her straight in the chest.

All you could hear was a faint moan and then a thump as she fell to the floor. Loki and Thanos stopped fighting to see what was happening.

I stood up and walked over to them and the first thing that came out of my mouth was "YOU IDIOTS. LOOK WHAT YOU DID!!!"

I swear I felt steam come out of my ears as I yelled more and more at them. They are so carless and stupid that they make me look smart(even though my friend Elody is really smart).

Maddy's Prov

I ran to Laurel to see if she was ok. We couldn't lose her, I remember her telling me about her family at S.H.I.E.L.D an her best friend Mary Catherine.

She promised me that she would bring me to S.H.I.E.L.D to meet everyone and maybe that I could stay with her there. Since she was the only kid there.

Flashback

"So what's it like there at S.H.I.E.L.D?" I asked, "Oh its fun. I like making Director Furry, and getting to mess around with Tony while Steve yells at us to stop being kids, even though I am one" she said smiling.

"I wish I could go there. It sounds fun!" I said, looking down.

"You know what I promise you that I will bring you to S.H.I.E.L.D one day an you can live there with me" she said, smiling

I nodded my head happily

End of flashback

I smiled at the though if that. I finally got it, I finally have a family. I then remembered that Laurel was laying on the floor.

I looked down and put me head up against her chest to see if she was breathing or if she had a heart beat.

But I heard nothing, my worst fear had come true in a matter if seconds. I jumped up and scream at the top of my lungs with tears streaming down my face.

"LAUREL IS DEAD!!"
