Chapter 22

Maddy's Prov

I finally managed to get away from all those people. Man were they annoying! 'Are you alright' 'Do you feel pain' 'Whats your name' like seriously do I look like I'm about to die.

Looking around, I found myself to be lost. Again. I took the chance to let a deep sigh escape. I'm done with people. I think me being locked up for 12 years with barely any human interaction makes me antisocial.

I took another look around. Everything looks the same. Walking forward I manage to find my way to the control room. Everyone was in a major rush mode.

I kept trying to ask questions but I kept getting blown of by these people.

Rude.

I was starting to get angry. Deep breaths Maddy, deep breaths.

In 1, 2, 3

Out 1, 2, 3

I did that for about another 20 times before walking up to a man. "Um excuse me, I was kind of looking for my room? Could you help me?"

"Yeah sure." The man said. I followed after him, he finally showed me a door. Holding out a key he dropped it into my hand and walked away.

Not wanting anymore human interaction, I opened my door and layed on my bed. I kept think back to want Thanos said about my mom...

Flashback

"What if we don't have loved ones any more" I says. "Oh are you sure you don't have any loved ones?" "Yes, my mom is dead" "Oh but she isn't" he said, "Wait she's not dead?" I asked.

"Of course she's not"

I kept think over that. If she's not dead, I could find her. But then I remember what Thanos said. What if she did have a daughter, and completely forgot about me.

I felt wettness roll down my cheeks. I realize I was crying. I soon broke out into a sobbing fest. And at some point I fell asleep.

Dream

I was running through a huge field. The wind blowing through my hair as the smell of fresh grass filled my senses.

I notice a figure in the distance. Running towards the persaon, I saw it was my mom. I felt my self speed up.

Right as I was about to reach her, it grew dark. I looked to the sky before back at my mom. I notice a dark figure behind her.

Before I could scream to her, I saw a knife plung into her chest. I screamed as I felt someone pull me away from her.

The smell of grass gone, as the smell of rotting meat and death entered my nose. I heard laughter behind me, turning I saw Thanos standing there with the knife.

"I told you I would kill your love ones if you disobeyed." He stated before vanishing. I turned back to weaar my mom was.

But there were more people. I saw my mom hanging as the blood spilled out. I saw Elody and Laurel standing behind her with blood seeping through there outfits.

I ran to Elody, then to Laurel, then to my mom. I dropped to the ground crying. I felt a hand on my back, looking up I saw all three of them staring at me with there dull eyes.

Then I heard wake up Maddy. It grew louder and louder.

"Wake Up Maddy, Wake up!"

I bolted up, grabbing on to whatever I could. I finally calmed down to realize that Laurel was standing in front of me. I grabbed her and pulled her into a hug, tears running down my face.

"I;m so glad you're ok." I kept whispering to her. "Ok, whats wrong, I was walking back from a meeting and I here you screaming. Are you alright?" she asked, concern filling her crystal eyes.

I nodded, trying to level my breathing. "Do you want to talk about it?" she asked. I nodded before telling her the whole dream. She sat there and listened, soaking up every word I said. After I finished she pulled me into a hug.

I felt happy as I could feel the care radiate off her. "How about we go raid the kitchen. Its only 11:30 p.m. Everyone is alseep now." she said, a devilish smile making her way up to her face.

I nodded as I felt the mischeif I always hand rise in my heart. We both snuck down to the kitchen. I found a container of chocolate cupcakes and cookies. Laurel seemed to have found the soda and yahoo. I also found three bags of chips.

Making our great escape to my room, I heard someone coming around the corner. I pulled Laurel into a closet, waiting for the person to pass.

After making sure the coast was clear, we made a run for my room. We both settled on the bed before realizing Elody and Mary Catherine werent here, so we snuck out and got both of them.

We were up til 3 in the morning laughing before passing out. I guess this is what a slumber party is. I like it.

I heard banging on my door. I opened it to see Mr. Furry standing there, looking angry. I looked back in before seeing the fact of my room clean. I guess Laurel throw the trash away and cleaned.

I looked back at Furry. "I have word to suspect that you and the3 othersa raided the kitchen"he stated. "What makes you say that?"

"Well the fact of secrurity cams and that you are the only girls on this ship." I started laughing in his face before closing the door.

"Girls! We have been caught!" I screamed. All 3 of them looked at each other, before we fell into a laughing fit.

We were laughing so hard we didn't hear the banging on the door. After calming down I answered it. I saw a guy with bow and arrows standing there.

"Can I help you?" I asked, looking at him. "I need to see Laurel." I looked at him before opening the door fully. I saw Laurel stand up, befoore running into his arms.

"Oh Clint! I've missed you!!" She screamed. "You never came back to see me" she said, sounding upset. "I know I'm sorry." he said looking in her eyes.

"Um can you explain what is happening?" I asked. "Oh well, this is Clint Barton, or otherwise know as Hawkeye. I've known him since I was 5. I lived with him for about 4 months. My dad had a mission and it was before he remarried so I needed a babysitter and Clint was the babysitter. He was totally against it, but he grew to love me." She smiled, looking at Clint.

"That reminds me Laurel. Happy Birthday!! You are 15 now!!!" he said. I didn't even know it was her birthday.....maybe thats what the cupcakes and cookies were for.....oops.

She looked at me as if she read my...oh wait she did. We both started laughing. Then something happen or more of something was said.

"Laurel there is someone you need to meet." Clint said, before opening the door. I looked to see the same guy from yesterday.

Laurel looked like she had seen a ghost.

Then she stuttered out a word that was suprising.

"Dad?'

And theres another chapter. I finally updated. Sorry it took so long.

But yes Agent Phil Coulson is back. He was the one Mary Catherine was talking about, by the way. I will explain to you in the next chapter on how he lived.
