Derek's POV

"Der!" She yells from the bathroom.

"Yeah Ken?"

"Can you bring me a towel?"

Letting out a chuckle, "Yeah. Hang on a sec."

After digging in three different boxes I found the towels.

"Here Ken." I say tossing the towel over the shower rod.

"Thanks babe." She says as I close the door.

"Shit!" She yelps as she steps out of the tub wrapped in her towel.

"What are you doing?" She asks me.

"Who me? Oh I'm just hanging out."

"Hanging out? In the bathroom? So in other words waiting on me to get out of the shower so you can see me in a towel?" She says a small smirk crossing her face.

"I mean...basically." No point in denying it she knows me too well, at least on these sorts of things.

"You're so weird." She says flicking my forehead. "Now shoo so I can get dressed.

"Aww babe. Come on!" I whine as she pushes me out the bathroom door. "You change in front of me all the time." I say as she closes the door rolling her eyes.

"Not today." She says smugly from inside the bathroom.

As I make my way back to the kitchen I think about how lucky I am that that amazing girl in the other room has forgiven me. She forgave me for that messed up time in my life where I thought my parents money and approval was more important than her and I would never forget it.

My muscles tense momentarily when an arm wraps around me, but I relax as soon as her head rests against my shoulder.

"Since when do you cook?"

"Um last I checked you're the one who messed up the spaghetti when you tried so cook and almost burnt the house down. Plus you never asked if I would, let alone could cook." I say with a shrug.

"Hey that was one time."

"Yes, but I know of many other instances where you messed up while cooking."

"Then teach me how to cook oh wise one." She states dramatically hoisting herself into the counter.

"Okay. I have no problem with that." I say serving her a plate of bacon, eggs and sausage.

"Alright. We have one week until classes start, so we can spend this week getting everything how we want it. Do we want to paint?"

"Umm we can paint the bedroom I don't really like it being plain white. It needs some color."

"I agree. What color are you thinking?"

"How about pink." She suggests.

"You better be kidding."

"I am. How about for the wall our bed is against we do a dark blue and the others a lighter shade but still not to light?"

"Sounds good. Anywhere else you want to paint? We can do a gray in the living room.." I suggest to her as we sit in the couch.

"That could work."

Kennedy's POV

"Do you know how to paint clean lines?"
