????POV

"Yuki..." Ikoma whispered  your name within his heart.

It has been half a decade since you last seen him in person. A half a decade you both were separated.

Torture.

But when you both were children it meant nothing to you both. Bring back the memory of when he returned from the river with his sister and bring a rock to give to you when in reality it was just enough for you to accept it. When he entered the house he noticed that it was empty. His first instinct was to go check and make sure that you were doing alright. Asking your parents and checking neighbors to figure out where you were only to look up to see that you were on the roof looking towards the evening skylights.

"Y-yuki," his shy tone drew your attention from the clouds passing by the bright star-lit sky.

"Hm...c-crap...ugh-"

"Ikoma," he muttered out of sadness.

"Right! Ikoma!" you smiled at him. You jumped off the roof to be closer to him until you landed wrong and you began to fall forward

You smiled looking into the eyes of her savior- his golden-brown eyes. He gave the stare that spoke for itself and told you that he would never let you fall. From his stare, you knew he may be enjoying this.

"Yuki," the way your name rolled off his tongue made your skin rippled, something unfamiliar to you. "You should be careful." He helped you steady yourself, but your hands were still gripping his shirt almost as if you were in fear... if you let go, what would happen?

You looked at him, only this time, he had aged and so did yourself to about 17, your eyes were pleading, needing him. You needed to know that he was real. To be certain what transpired was real because the feelings that you were beginning to have when you were around him began to flourish and the thought of him not being by your side was incomprehensible.

"Let me help you," his voice lured you back to your current state. There was a hint of worry and determination for your safety as one hand removed from your body and pulled his arm to take a bit from it. There was hunger in your eyes as you fixed on the vein pulsating beneath the soft flesh of his arm.

You opened your mouth and Ikoma drew in a breath of anticipation. The taste of his blood bringing a powerful sensation to know that it was him who could prevent you from becoming a Kanaberi-and only he. Ikoma's expression shows he was bracing himself to remain calm to be unfazed by such a wonderful treat, but you didn't bite.

You kept staring at his arm and the bit he made, the blood slowly leaking down to his fingertips. Your fingers ran across his skin, featherlight and it was all he could do to not react but his blush gave off his true feelings for you.

You reached for his neck and began to trace his neck from the bottom of his ear down to where his neck and shoulder met, with the tip of you finger.

You took a quick glance to see that the mere touch of your finger was causing a dramatic reaction in him. But you never touched him like this before. You couldn't even explain your actions but you wasn't looking at him as a meal before you, the way you touched him was soft, tender, caresses, igniting jolts of electricity between your fingers and his skin.

A feeling of ease swept over him when he saw your head inched towards his blood-tainted arm. His relief was only short lived when he noticed that instead of biting into him, your lips fell on his skin with a gentle kiss; his eyes widened in complete shock.
