Author's Message

I have made a separate three part one shot for a special character from the Kabaneri no Kotetsujou series. Check it out in my works section 😘.

Author's Message

The loud cheering was heard around the village as you and Ikoma walked side by side towards the commotion.

"It's the Hunters!" yelled some of the villagers.

"Long live the Liberator!"

At that moment, you slowed down in walking and stopped. Your skin was cool and clammy, your breathing was held in. Everything in your body turned numb with shock. A steam locomotive with a unique purplish brown color and made of heavy metal, with 2 headlights on each sides pulled into the station

"Who are those people?" Kajika asked just at Ikoma and yourself went with the group. Hikari ran up towards you holding the cloth on your blade tightly along with your nagabakama.

"Damn it," you muttered, "I was actually trying to avoid them."

"Avoid?" asked Kajika.

"They are the Hunters," Kibito explained, "they're an independent force created to exterminate the Kabane."

"They have a long history of defeating the Kabane," Suzuki continued, "They rid the land of the Kabane and return it to the people."

Soon some of the members were walking out with one standing out in particular. Tall with long salmon pink hair, a narrow build and pale complexion with piercing amber-golden eyes.

"It's Biba-sama!" yelled one of the village girls.

"He is so beautiful!" yelled another.

"As expected of the Shogun's son!" yelled a male villager.

"Brother!" Mumei yelled running up to him and began conversing with him as he looked down slightly shocked.

"Mumei..." he muttered.

"I finally made it back to you!" she yelled.

"You're safe." Biba replied with a small smile.

"No way-Biba-sama is Mumei's brother..." Ikoma muttered.

"That's not all..." you thought while glancing towards Ikoma's shocked expression.

"Are you by yourself? Where is Shimon?" Biba asked.

"Aragane Station was attacked by the Kabane..." Mumei explained, "But he died honorably..."

"I see," Biba said as he placed his right arm over his heart and closed his eyes, "May karma smile down upon him."
