I jumped with happiness as the new Beacon crowd walked past me, heading towards the auditorium, where everyone was supposed to meet.

"Oh! My! God! Isn't this just awesome Alex?" I squealed, doing a little fangirl spin on my heel.

"Wait a sec," she said, totally ignoring me, "is that.... oh my GOD!!! IT'S THEM!!!!" She pointed towards one of the landing ships and I saw Ruby and Yang get off, talking to each other with smiling faces.

"AHHH!!!!" I jumped up and down, spinning over and over again.

"AND THAT GIRL HAS A FIRE SWORD!!!!" I heard Ruby yell, and I realized that she was talking abut Alex, who's weapon was a fire sword. I laughed and so did Alex.

"Oh my God this is awesome," I said, "we should go talk to them. Or talk to Wisse. Or Blake. Or Jaune or Pyrrah or Ren or Nora or Carson or-"

"Carson?" Alex asked, "really?"

I shook my head, "No. Not him, I'm sorry. I'm just.... I'M SO GOD DAMMED EXCITED!!!!!"

"Heyo!" I looked away from Alex to see Yang walking towards us, and Ruby far behind her looking totally lost.

"Sup?" I asked, trying to hide my excitement, "I don't know you, do I?"

Yang shook her head, "No, I'm just trying to meet new people. My name's Yang. Yang Xio Long." She shook my hand.

"Well Yang," I said, "I'm Kennidith Eadley, but you can just call me Ken. And this is Alex Carter," I beckoned to Alex, who nodded silently, probably in shock.

"Yeah, it's really nice to meet you," Yang replied happily, "and Alex, my sister Ruby really loves your weapon. And I agree too. It's really cool."

"Thanks," Alex smiled brightly, lighting up her whole face, "... what's your weapon?"

"Oh, well I have gauntlets," Yang responded, "but they're not as cool as a fire sword."

"Nah, I would love to have gauntlets," Alex said, "or Ken's weapon. It's pretty cool."

"Oh, what is it?" Yang asked, looking at me. Giving Alex a quick evil glare, I unfolded my weapon. A light blue double scythe at first appearance, the blades actually removable throwing discs.

"Wow, that's really cool," Yang said, "we should compete sometime."

"Thanks," I gave her a kind smile, folding up my weapon, "and I'd love to compete sometime. And maybe you're... " I tilted my head to see Ruby far away, being offered a hand by Jaune, "Little sister could come to."

Yang nodded, "Yeah, I'm sure she'd love that. And she'd love both of your guys' weapons too. Anyways, we better get going, huh? Don't want to be late for anything."

"Yeah," I nodded in agreement, "we should head to the auditorium or Glenda will have our heads."

"Glenda?" Yang asked as we began to walk into Beacon together, "you call Miss Goodwitch by her first name?"

"Oh, well me and Alex were raised here," I said, "I've known her for so long, I guess I'm just used to calling her that."

"You were raised here?" she asked, "Wow. That's gotta be insane. Were you home-schooled? Oh... OH! Was, like, Miss Goodwitch your teacher?" I laughed, and so did she.

"No, no," I said, "I had a private online teacher."

"Ooooh," Yang said, "you know, I think I might have heard of you. My Uncle Qrow might have mentioned you before."

"Wait a sec," I said, feigning surprise, "you're Qrow's niece? Man, he talks about you guys all. The. Time."

"So you guys know each other then?" Yang asked.

"Uh-huh," I nodded, "me and Qrow are good friends."

"Well that's cool," she said, "but I better go find Ruby before she does something stupid." Then she ran off, waving goodbye over her shoulder.

"I think I might faint," Alex whispered.

When Yang left, I jumped with happiness. "YANG SHALT RULE THE WORLD WITH COOLNESS!!!!!"
