Eric looked down at his phone, Destiny's location beeping red on his phone. He looked out of the building, a broken down shack in the middle of Arizona, no one around for miles. He was afraid of what he would find in there, he took a deep breath and prepared himself.

"You guys shouldn't have come here," Destiny said from her chair in the middle of both of them. She had woken up a few hours ago once Oscar placed all three of them in chairs, rope tied around their hands and feet.

"Well, we didn't exactly have a choice now, Clara over here was persistent in saving you," Harry said blowing the hair out of his face.

"So this is my fault now?" Clara asked from the other side of Destiny.

"Well, let's see, you were the one that made me abandon my car, the one who brought us into the gas station and the one who pulled me into the damn van, so yeah it is your fault" Harry yelled.

"Can we please not fight and find a way to get out of here?" Destiny said.

"Why are we here anyway's, who was that guy," Harry asked.

"That was Oscar, my stepdad" Destiny sighed.

"Oscar, I thought he was in jail?" Clara said.

"Well, I was but not anymore," Oscar said, stepping out from the shadows. All three of them jumped.

"Well, well, well, look what we have here Clara Higgins or is it Tomlinson?" Oscar smirked drawing a hand down her face.

Clara moved her face any quickly, disgusted "It's Higgins" she spat.

"Feisty," Oscar said.

"Let them go, Oscar, I'm the one you want" Destiny pipped up.

"No, I think making you watch your sister die is much more fun" Oscar smiled, Destiny's face felt tears in her eyes as she looked over at her. Oscar pulled out a gun and aimed it at Clara's head.

"No!" Harry screamed, tears forming in his eyes as well. He was struggling to untie the rope around his hands.

"Destiny, Harry it's okay, I love you both so much" Clara cried. Just as Oscar was about to pull the trigger Eric ran in knocking him over, however, a gunshot sounded, hitting Eric in his torso.

"Oh my god Eric" Clara screamed. Suddenly police officers came bursting through the front door. Two of them picks Oscar up off the ground and placing handcuff around his hands. They helped Harry, Clara, and Destiny out of their chairs, untying the ropes.

Clara ran over to Eric on the ground, "Eric, Eric, " she stroked his face, her tears falling onto his cheeks. Destiny stood next to her tears pouring down her face as well. He laid there stone cold, no part of him was moving. Paramedics ran over to them and placed Eric on a gurney and into an ambulance outside.

"Is he going to be alright?" Destiny asked one of them.

"We are not sure, but I will do the best I can to save him," the woman said, a pitiful smile on her face. She ran to the ambulance while Clara wrapped her arms around her sister, them weeping onto each other's shoulders. Harry soon joined them in a group hug.

"No!" Destiny screamed, her voice echoing down the hospital halls. Clara broke down as well, her chest starting to burn. Her vision becoming blurry only the sound of Destiny's screams in her ears. "No he can't be gone, no!" she yelled, trying to run into the operating room, but Harry held her back an arm placed around her waist. Eric laid there on the cold iron table, a blue sheet covering his entire body. The doctor's and nurses looking at him in despair.

"Time of death 18:21," the doctor said, taking his mask off.

"I can't do this" Clara said, walking away from the room. She busted out of the hospital, memories of her and Eric just flooding her mind, her heart hurting in her chest.

"You know, if we get caught up here, we are going to jail, right?" Eric said almost tripping as he climbed the hill.

"Stop being a Debby downer" Clara smiled, taking his hand and bringing him right underneath the sign. The scenery was beautiful, you could see all of L.A from here.

"Wow," Eric smiled.

"I know right, come on, " she took his hand to lead him to the ladder behind the sign.

"Um, what are you doing?" Eric yelled up at her as she climbed the ladder.

"Climbing the sign duh, come to the view is even better from up here," Clara said to him. Eric sighed, but obliged and climbed the sign as well. Clara helped him up and sat down on the 'O' from the Hollywood sign.

"This is amazing," Eric said.

"Sure is" Clara smiled.

"So tell me, Eric, what are your future plans?" Clara asked.

"Future plans?" he repeated.

"Yeah, you know, do you plan on going to college, getting married, having kids?" she clarified.

"I don't know I never really thought about it" He responded.

"Oh come on, you are telling me that you never thought about what you want to do with your life, you are seventeen years old, " Clara said.

"I don't know I guess maybe take over my dad's mechanic shop," he said.

"Really, you don't want to do something else like becoming a pop star or star in a musical?" she asked.

"Singing isn't really my thing," Eric said.

"Well, it's not for everyone" Clara said, glancing at him before looking back at the skyline. This was only their second date, but Clara had grown to like the boy, he was mysterious and Clara loved cracking open his puzzle. She moved closer to him and placed her lips on his. Eric's eyes opened wide, but he soon relaxed kissing her soft lips back. Everything around them was calm, but inside both of them, explosions were erupting. They, however, were interrupted by a blinding spotlight from a helicopter.

"Hey, this is restricted grounds," the man from the helicopter said through a microphone.

"We got to run," Clara said. Eric nodded and took her hand, they both jumped down and ran. They were caught and spent the night in jail, but it was worth it.

Clara laid on the grass in front of the hospital starring up at the sky, tears streaming down her face. She sniffed and wiped them away, looking up at the sky only reminded her more of Eric, and how he died because of her. It was all her fault, if she had never had gotten into that van he would still be alive, but if she didn't Destiny might not have been alive right now. Eric sacrificed himself for them, especially Clara. He died a hero and that's how he will always be remembered. Destiny walked out, standing a few inches away from her. "Can I join you?" she asked, her voice weak. Clara nodded. Destiny laid down beside her staring up at the night sky as well.

"He loved you, you know, he always did, part of the reason why I hated you for so long because I wanted that" Destiny said. Clara remained silent.

"He loved you too, well he was starting to" Clara responded after a long moment of silence. Destiny chuckled but didn't say anything else. The two lay there and reflected on Eric, a guy that had changed their lives forever.

So sad, I didn't do the part where Eric said his last words because I felt like that is way overused too much. Anyways, I cried writing this because I loved Eric, but it was time to say goodbye to him. Hope I wasn't the only one that cried and enjoyed this chapter, shows you did by voting and commenting. Only four chapters left, stay tuned.
