Two weeks later
"Oh my god, no way, Eric's back in town!?" Emily screeched in the middle of the mall, earning a few looks from the other shoppers.
"Yes, and would you keep your voice down? " Clara whispered, pulling her to the side.
"Sorry, but that's crazy" Emily said with her inside voice.
"I know, I haven't seen him in six years" Clara frowned slightly remembering the last time they spoke.
"Well have you talked to him yet?" Emily questioned.
"Sort of" Clara exclaimed suddenly feeling vulnerable.
"Well, spill" Emily said, dragging her down to the first bench she saw.
It seemed that Eric has been the main topic of her life the past few weeks.
After explaining to Emily what happened, she came out with the question, "Have you told Louis yet?". She still hadn't told her husband about him, he had tried to get it out of her, but stopped once he knew she wouldn't break.
"No, I'm too embarrassed to tell him" Clara admitted shamefully.
"We all have that ex that we are embarrassed about, mines being Zayn and your's Eric, but it's better to tell him so that he doesn't start making an assumption." Clara frowned, knowing she had a point, she didn't want Louis to think she was still hung up on Eric.
"You actually never told me what happened between you and Zayn" Clara stated rests her head on her hand.
Emily sighed and looked away, "We were just too different, " she simply stated. Clara nodded her head but didn't push the conversation any further.
"Come on let's go, " she said, grabbing her best friend's hand and dragging her to a store.
"Hello?" Clara said, answering her phone. Emily was currently in a dressing room when her phone went off, it was an unknown number.
"Hey Clara" his voice rang from the other side. Clara's heart quickened in her chest and she felt her stomach twist.
"Harry?" she mumbled into the phone. She had not spoken with him since her wedding, which he did not attend, he had told her himself that he couldn't watch the woman that he was in love with marry another man.
"Hi, love how are you?" he replied, his British accent dripping in his voice.
"I'm doing fine Harry, how about you, how's England?" Clara smiled. He had moved to England only a few days after her wedding, he had called her and told her goodbye and of course she was a crying mess.
"It's a little bit more damp than I remembered, but I'm enjoying spending time with my mum and sister," Harry said happily.
Clara grinned, "And Kendall?" Clara asked hesitantly. He and Kendall had started dating two years ago, and Clara was extremely happy for them. She thought that Harry had moved on from her, but clearly hadn't, Harry proved that when he didn't show up to her wedding.
"We actually aren't together anymore" Harry stated bluntly. Clara's mouth sealed shut, she was stunned. She had a feeling that it had to do with her and that worried her.
"Why?" Clara asked already knowing the answer.
"The media was too involved in our relationship and we could never get time to ourselves so we decided it would be best to take a break for now" Harry said in one breath. Clara relaxed, she was happy that he didn't say it was because he still loved her. After all, she loved him, but not in the way he had loved her, and she always hated herself for breaking his heart.
