( A/N: Some theories may not be mine, and it will be stated at the bottom of the page where it comes from. There will be spoilers if you aren't caught up with the manga. You've had your warning, and spoilers aren't anything for me to worry about anymore. Thank you for reading)

**Eren's Dad**

When we first start the anime, we learn that Eren's father, Grisha, had saved humanity from some sort of plague. Most details about this are very vague, and we know nothing else about it.

But, is it possible, with that cure he came up with, he created the generation of titan-shifters?

If you recall, there was a flashback shown where Grisha was forcing Eren to take some kind of injection. What was in it, (all of this being theoretical) could be a range of things. At first, Titan Blood could be an option, fusing his son and a Titan's blood together to create a half-breed. But the problem with that is Titan blood dissolves almost instantly, and most likely eliminatibg that as a liable option.

Another possibility for what is in the syringe would be some kind of solution that would make people have the ability to turn into a titan. Now, there isn't much of a solid idea of what that could be, but if it is true, it would mean Grisha also created some kind of serum to create Titans in the first place.

But there isn't enough information for this idea to be valid. We don't know much about Grisha, that being the last tine we see him, and having almost no backstory to their lives at all.

And this brings me to the next theory, **Their Past**.
