(A/N: This one will only make sense if you've read the manga, or you know a little bit too much for someone who watches the anime ;). But, again, it would be best to only read this is you've read the manga)

So, if you've forgotten, the Ape Titan, as seen in Chapter 35, is a large, and very intelligent animal-like Titan. The Ape Titan can talk, and does so with Mike before ultimately killing him.

But this Titan seems to know quite a bit more than what's being let on. Albeit it not knowing what 3DMG are, if takes interest in it, questioning Mike about it. The Titan even joking that he and Mike might not speak the same language, because of the latter's silence.

But, the Ape Titan says something that disturbed me. He said, "(Then) you have an idea of what's in the napes of our necks." That definitely raised a red flag. There's something in the back of their necks? And they know it.

But before that, let's talk about the Ape Titan a bit more. How does it know how to speak, and why does it look so different than the rest of the Titans? There's a possibility it's another Titan-Shifter. The Ape doesn't seem to know about the Maneuver Gear, but maybe it's someone who went Rogue, like Ymir did, for decades.

But back to their necks. There is something in them. The bodies of the dead, since we see no graveyards, thrown over the wall, and then made into Titan's? We may never know.
